$199.99 in-store only 11/18-11/21 Prices now live on website.

I am not sure if you can get the additional $40 off bundle with a motherboard, but it is worth a try.

They also have the 3570K for $149.99 but the $199.99 4770K is clearly the better deal here, especially if you get the mobo combo deal on top.

Edit: Deal DEAD for now folks, check again on Black Friday or possibly Cyber Monday (Dec 2nd) for another shot at this price. This deal was advertised as Pre-Cyber Monday sale so there's a small chance they bring this price back on Dec. 2nd.

yeah, I bet you can't. The best part is, in tustin, they'll honor this deal! (it's been 319.99) I just bought it early october, so I'm screwed for this... but oh well. I had no choice..

The prices online on their Intel landing page and the actual product page do not reflect this price difference.

I now see the 4770k at $199.99 on both landing page and product page, but the 4670k is also $199.99. Seems valid for combo deals, but other than a certain board, only get $30 off.

Damn, wonder if I can get a buddy to go with me. 70 miles plus around $10 in tolls kind of kills the deal for only one combo.

Oh hey look, Micro Center allows sorting motherboards by socket. Eat it, Newegg! 😡

Nice, they must've updated pricing once stores opened. I am on the fence about getting another one, swapping out my wife's X58 would probably save 100-150W when her PC is on and GTX 670 with X58 won't wake from S3 sleep properly.

Damn you guys I'm saving up for a bigger set of weights not CPU's! Besides I don't even need a faster CPU... Right?!?!??!

Can anyone confirm you can get the motherboard bundle? I've called my Microcenter but no one is answering the phones.

Also, my 2500K is overclocked so I don't even need this, right? 🙂

Yes, the bundle discount is still active. Although it's only $30 now instead of $50. Also, why am I telling you this when I still can't get a hold of my gf to place another order.

I was just there yesterday expecting 280, found out it was 320, and swore I'd never return to a brick and mortar again.

So are they really really for real this time?

They are very good deals; but the perceived improvements vs actual improvements may not be as big as people think.

Check out this: http://www.anandtech.com/show/7189/choosing-a-gaming-cpu-september-2013

For gaming, if you are on low 9x0 Nehalem, both would be a nice bump. If you already have Sandy Bridge (exl. i3) it would barely be noticeable unless you are going for high res and multi card multi monitor config.

Depending on vid card and resolution with a 920 or 930, I would OC the cpu first and get a new vid card; unless you really want to save some watts with a new socket.

Productivity is trickier, and it would be best to look for comparisons between architectures and clock speed for what you are doing.

Anyone know if frys would match if a different micro enter location has them in stock? I also have a friend that loves in Houston. Lol.

Or should I wait for Black Friday?

I've been AMD until I put my 3570k in a year or two ago. Can't remember - will this fit in the same motherboard as my i5 3570k?

If so, it'd be an easy swap/upgrade, and sell my 2500k on ebay. If not, I don't want to mess with installing a new mobo too.

Picked up a 4770k and an asrock z87e-itx for right under $329. The $30 discount does apply, also note I used in-store pickup.

Should be a nice step up from my Phenom x2 😱

To hondaf17: won't work, 2500k is socket 1155 & 4770k is socket 1150

Got my inlaws across the country to pick one up, I don't even know how I'll end up getting it from them, don't care. This deal is just stupid.

A year from now this deal will still be an ok deal.
