Searched and didn't find/
I know this is old technology but for for FAR it might be nice for one of those budget system we build for our Parents, Grandparents or friends. If you don't like the card, don't dump in this thread, please. Just move on. Now onto the links.

EVGA at Fry's.com FX5200 with free shipping
Rebate form is here
(rebate form isn't working at the moment but give it time.

Ropad deal for Fry's Bayarea. FX 5200

edit:
Deal is good for 1 day only at Bayarea Fry's and maybe other Fry's B&M as well. The deal at Fry's.com is from 7-4 to 7-5-07 according to the website. The rebate form is still not active for this rebate so it might be prudent to call up and ask them to mail it, just in case.

edit:
Dead again.

Bought this from Fry's anniversary sale a few weeks back. Just got the rebate and the card works great. My P4 home desktop runs like a champ! If you have an old AGP system and want to extend gaming functionality: I highly rec this one...

Also handy for those of us that want a quiet, passively cooled video card.
I have a few of these cards, and they are decent, basic cards.
More than powerful enough for my modest needs.
One of my cards failed, and was replaced under warranty.
I did need the original receipt, which I thought a bit odd...

I even use the S-Video output for my TV, as I have had a hard time
finding cards that have component video output, and my TV doesn't
have VGA or DVI inputs.

free shipping appears to be dead, and the rebate form still isn't there, but I bought one anyway

Free shipping didn't work online for me, so I called the 800 number, and the
guy I spoke to gave me free shipping. He also emailed me the rebate form.
I placed my order at 2:45 pacific time...
Give it a try.

I called Fry's twice in an effort to acquire the free shipping- once while attempting to order it over the phone, the second after I had placed my order online. Failed miserably both times. On the second attempt, the woman 'spoke to her supervisor' in an attempt to credit me for shipping, but he shot me down in flames.

I came really close to canceling my order entirely, but then realized that one of my machines is running a 5+ year old 32mb video card. This card should be a vast improvement. For $6 in shipping costs... it's definitely worth it for me.

36 hours later and the rebate link STILL isn't working, though, which I'm finding especially irritating. I can, in a pinch, get it by mail, but since I use acrobat writer to fill out all my rebates, a hard copy would be a pain in the butt.

awesome, thanks a lot. if anybody else needs it I should be able to post it somewhere if I can remember the password.

oops wrong quote

should have been:
> I can't believe that Fry's never fixed the rebate link.

Here's what I got from customer service via email

http://www.freewebtown.com/ent...bate/evga%20rebate.pdf

P.S. My free webpage gives me limited bandwith, so this link may not stay active long. Please, if you don't need this rebate, don't download it.

Rebate says I should have purchased it in June? I am quite tempted to walk up to Fry's (I am in Bay Area!!!) and get this. Man that mini fry's will be JAMMED.

The rebate to that deal is dead. This is a one-day only deal and the rebate form will reflect that the purchase needs to be made 7-4-07. If you buy it online, I would call Fry's.com and ask the CSRs to mail you a copy. They might have it in pdf to email it to you also. I've heard that's been done before. I think the webmaster is a little behind in posting his/her rebate forms. There are several that are missing in memory deals I've posted already.

esquared, this is what happened:
your original deal was valid (minus maybe the free ship) or at least there exists a believable rebate form for the purchase date of 6/17

there is a new deal that is valid 7/4 to 7/5. free after $50 MIR, but the whereabouts of the new rebate form is unknown
