Dead Ethernet on Abit NF7-S

About a week ago my onboard ethernet stopped working. I tried to put in a PCI network card, but it doesn't work either. Does this make sense if the northbridge chipset (or southbridge) failed? Anything else I can try?


 
This might be a stupid question, but did you uninstall and disable the Onboard LAN before installing the PCI?

And is your Onboard being detected,or is it just not working?

The drivers appear to be OK.

When I try ipconfig, I get

An internal error occurred: The request is not supported.

I get the same error with the onboard ethernet or the PCI card. I did disable the onboard lan when I added the PCI card.

Thoughts??
