How do you plan to use the Office Depot coupon at Office Max? Or are you planning on pricematching?

1. Office Max does not accept comptetitors coupons, I tried. They do, however, pricematch.

2. I do have C40 printer and it is very basic unit; do not accept photo quaity prints as it's using 3-color cartridge. Also it has a tendency to use ink rather quickly.

3. The printer can be noisy.

Please do not consider this a threadcrap; I only shared my personal experience. All in all, you get what you pay for; It will do as a basic printer but nothing more.

YMMV on this. I called an OM b&m tonight and asked if they did and I was told yes.

I don't consider it a thread crap because everything you said is 100% absolutely true. If you want a good all around photo quality inkjet printer then you'll need to spend at least $80 - $300. Get an Epson 820, HP or Canon.

I"ve been able to use OD coupon online at OM, they'll ask you for the coupon code. I've never tried at a B&M though.

I've used an OD coupon at OM. The Bascom Ave store in San Jose, by the way.

Does this printer used "chipped" cartridges? If you can use generics from someplace like Megatoners, deal is OK for a utility printer. If you have to buy Epson OEM carts, it's kinda sucky.

Also, I see no Power switch. If there's none, that will suck ink, too. To save ink in the previous cheapie, the 480SXU, you have to unplug it; Epsons with an "off" switch park the cartridge head, which saves ink.

It's up to the store manager to accept or not accept coupons from other office suppy store. They will take other office suppy store coupon on-line with phone-in orders.

If you are ordering by phone they may not accept the $20 off $50 coupon because it's a in-store couple, so you might have to use a office Depot $20 off $75 coupon URL and add $25 item(s) or a office Depot $15 off $50 coupon URL.

I used the OM 10 off 50 MC Exclusives coupon and the $30 MIR and ordered on line. 50-10-30 MIR +4 tax =$14.65 delivered. Not bad for a back up. MC Exclusives is in the OM coupon thread at Overweight Billfold.

EDit: forgot the $.49 thumb tacks to break $50. :Q

I have bought the printer today. Good quality for text /graph. I noticed the rebate can be sent with a UPC copy. Dose anyone know of another rebate for C40 anywhere?

The Epson C40 does require the original UPC. Look closely at the rebate form. The asterik indicates only certain of the several items on the rebate form can use copy of the UPC, ie. Item #2. CD-R, 100-pk and Item #7. CD-R, 50-pk.

I get my C40 on Tuesday. I had to have one OM do an inter-store transfer because the other will not accept competitor coupons! Similiar fickleness with my local Staples stores. One does not accept competitor coupons, one is case by case, and the other no problem at all.

Just my $0.02 worth, but I used the OD $20 off 50 instore coupon at an officemax B&M two days ago. Did not get a second look, so if you want this printer it is worth trying to use the coupon.

Lexmark Z23 or Lexmark Z22 Inkjet Printers are also part of this sale and are currently available on-line.

Since my Local OM won't honor the 20 off 50 from OD ( Pasadena, Baldwind Park) , I called in and used the 15 off 50 ,
So total for the Z23 , $54.42 - 15 - 30 MIR = $10.

The thing was he couldn't apply the coupon, so he just charged me full, and credit $15 back to my CC...
that way I end up paying an extra $1 on tax.

Bah, OM didn't accept the $20 off $50 OD coupon last week (so I got the Lite-On for $20.....) and now, they're not taking it for the printer. Oddly, this was all at the Bascom store in San Jose...

Anywho, any clues on how to find that $15 off $50 coupon? A quick google search only yielded the $25 off $100 and the $30 off $150.

Thanks for the amazing deals guys! MysticMan, all my Lite-Ons in my house are thanks to you ;)

I did a test on both of these for photo output. The Lexmark Z23 prints MUCH better photos than the Epson C40. It was not even close.
