Saw this on techbargains...

Outpost has the Epson 785 Printer (the one where you can just plug in the smartmedia or compactflash card into it and print) discounted to $99. There is a $100 rebate if you have purchased a digital camera recently (Casio, Konica, Epson, Minolta, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Toshiba, Sony to name the major ones). Just pay shipping! Thought it was a good deal; jumped on in it myself. Hope this helpful...

If you haven't bought a digital camera recently, there is a $30 rebate floating around if you have purchased digital media recently.

The printers comes with the adapter for cf cards. You'll need to buy different adapters for other types of memory cards if you want to print them straight from the printer.

*edit* I must have lost it for a second there. I could have swore I saw 875 and not 785 😱

Wow, what a great combo with this thread for the Toshiba camera from Gateway

Get the rebate on the printer, ebay the printer for $150.......brings your total for a 4megapixel camera to $150 🙂 or keep the printer and get a 4 MP camera and a photoprinter for about $300

Just ordered mine. 🙂

The epson printer rebate only needs a copy of the UPC from the camera, thus enabling you to get the Toshiba rebate as well.

Wow...kick@ss! 🙂 This will go great with my new Casio, thanks! (Plus it uses the same inks as my Epson 875DCS). Awesome, thanks!

oooh my aching credit card 🙁
Epson photo printer, Toshiba digicam, Lexmark laserprinter, and 80 gig Maxtor HD all in less than a week 🙁

How can one PM with staples and use a coupon of $40 off $200?????

I must be still asleep because I can't think of the process...

Do I buy Staples first (with or without coupon) and then PM?

Is coupon relevant if I am going to PM?

Your help is appreciated...

Thanks

Anthony

So this printer only works with Smart Media if you buy an optional adapter? It says that it comes with the Compact Flash to Pmcia card adapter.

carmann,
Though 785EPX comes with a cf adapter, you can use the coupon that comes with the printer to exchange it for a sm adapter or a memory stick adapter. ofcourse you have to pay shipping to send the cf adapter to epson.
I got one from Dell.com for $154 and it is time for PM with Amex Blue.

I love this printer. Highly recommend it.

For those who did not read closely this product has been sold out at Outpost.com since early December. I don't know why they still let you order even though they don't have stock and they state that the product is unavailable on the web page. Anyway, if you lucky enough to get Staples or some other local retail to PM then this is a awesome deal! I puechased one at CC in December when they had the $50 GC + 10% off and the Epson rebate is processed really fast! I got mine in two weeks!

Canon is not a qualifying camera becuase they do not use Epon's Print Image Matching technology. Epson is promo'ing this printer with camera's tha use the same technology for alleged better quality prints.

The printer will come with a coupon to send in the CF card reader for a free Memery Stick or Smart Media Reader. All you have to pay is shipping to send in the adapter it comes with ! The camera rebate uses COPIES of the UPC's. The new adapter takes the original ! Go to Epson.com and follow the link to Rebates.

Dang It -- I knew it was too good to be true. I missed the Dell $20 coupon 10 % stack on this printer; Staples has no $40 coupons; and this deal was dead before it started. I acted so fast I did not even read the "Out of Stock" note right on the page. NOW I guess the question is do I cancel the order or will OutPost Cancel it ?

Just ordered mine. I've been looking at this for a long time, could not find the right deal. My first deal on anandtech was the nikon 995 pm with amex blue back before xmas. Got if for $347 after pm ($250, got it before the camera arrived!!) and $100 nikon rebate ( still not arrived! it kicked out because the dumb clerk could not find the UPC in the envelope!! I sent it back in), MSN $100 holiday rewards (got it last week). NOW I score with the $100 rebate on this printer!!!

Its out of stock at outpost who could I pricematch this with? I tried staples.com but they said its out of stock so they can't pricematch. Is there any other way I can pricematch with this outpost price?

hi all,

i just tried to pricematch this printer with staples, but they did not accept it :| , because outpost is not authorized retailer for this printer, did anyone try for this PM with staples, and how did it go, please confirm it :|

thanks

Called outpost, item has been sold out for weeks and no more will be available. Dont bother placing a order.

There are 2 very legitimate reasons why Staples should not match Outpost:

1) This is clearly a limited-quantity item; Staples' PM policy excludes such items
2) It's out of stock.

Staples' policy is very clear on both of these points.
