No, you need at least a router I believe. You then run 1 ethernet from the router to the switch.

Really? Glad I asked...
I can't run my DSL directly to the switch, then simply connect multiple computers to the switch with Cat 6 (or 5) cables? All I want is to share the DSL connection, not network between the computers, or not even share a printer.

I hate to threadcrap, but 100Mbps switches are practically useless. 100MBps translates into 8MB/s at best. If you want to transfer 2GB worth of photos it will take you four and a half minutes to do so.
Spend some money if your time is worth anything to you. Dlink 2208 is a great router for cheap. I have one, it runs very cool compared to other switches and I get 90MB peak transfer speeds.

Oh really? I thought I'd be able to transfer files at ludicrous speed with this!
Saying it's practically useless is a pretty ridiculous statement. What if someone doesn't even have a gigabit NIC? I guess their whole computer is practically useless then!
OP, thanks for posting a good deal. This will work great for me. I have a wireless router but want to wire everything together in order to stream HD across the network. HD needs less than 3 MBps, so 8 MBps will be more than enough.

Depends on the encode. I have seen 8GB sized 1080p rip spike to 6.3MB/s. So while 100Mbit switch will certainly handle that one assuming no one else is using your network at that precise moment, it won't be able to handle streaming full 25GB+ HDDVD/Bluray without stuttering during bandwidth intensive scenes.
Point is if you do anything network intensive 100MBps switch will kill you. We still have 100mbps switches at work and it takes ages to copy over 14GB database backups.
