Anyone in the S. Bay Area interested in this set? Sell it to you at cost for 65 bux. If not, I'm gonna be returning it. Bought it as insurance in case my 2200+ setup didn't OC. JIUHB chip. Everything still sealed.

OOS in So Cal, too. I didn't bother checking more than 1 store though.

I wonder if there's not going to be a cheap AMD combo this weekend. A 2400+ & ECS combo for $79 wouldn't be bad.

and the k7vta3 is far FAR FAR greater than the k7s5a... MAN this thing o/cs and havent rebooted in a week!!

If you think that, then you're missing most of the deals. Ads come out on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Wednesday. It's in the Monday as for LA/OC, possibly other places, too.

Now I'm really confused. Is this deal on or what? I can't find the ad here in SF Bay Area, one other poster said he called Palo Alto and there is no deal, but Hav0k99 posted that he got it from Sunnyvale today. I can't believe that the Palo Alto and Sunnyvale stores would have different sales going on.

edit: I check again this morning, the 21st. Still no ad in SJ Merc. Hav0k99, can you confirm that you bought this yesterday, the 20th, in Sunnyvale?

Confirmed. No deal to be had. I went down to the Sunnyvale store tonight and they said that it was last week. That they ran out of processors and are still out. Hav0k99, why the lie? Why the lie? How could you have gotten it at Sunnyvale yesterday if they've been out of CPUs for a week? You made me drive almost a mile for nothing!!!!!!!!!

this board will run the amd 1800+ @ 2017 mhz, no problem.

I just ordered a nf7-s abit from newegg and don't need this anymore.

If you take this to fry's and say you lost receipt, they will give you 54.99 credit.

they will look up the serial # on the box and will determine that you bought it as a combo == "might" give you store credit, or say no (also, since serial number matches up to phone # of bought combo, ...)

Ok, I didnt' think of the serial, I just rememeber that I got a mp3 player as a present and was able to get full price store credit at frys without the receipt. Anyways, 30$ for that mb is still good price, any takers??

not for mobos..they will only exchange for exact same item. i tried...

Hmm now I have a question for this setup what is the best way to OC this processor and I don't get it do I have to change the FSB settings on MB and in BIOS? Also can someone tell me what the original multiplier and FSB is.

stock settings for the 1800+ is 11.5 x 133 = 1533

best way to start o/cing is setting the jumper on the mobo to 166, so that it would equal 11.5 x 166 = 1917

then from there you can start manually increasing the fsb in the bios (probably around 166 -> 180 or somethiing)

dayam strait you would! pc2700 is a MUST if you wanna o/c to 166/166.. or if you wanna take your chances, you can see if you can o/c your pc2100 ram -> pc2700

i have my pc3500 ram @ ~"pc2900" (180), but my timings are @ 2-2-2-6-1t
