*DEAD* Discount Tire Direct - $100 off four tires or four wheels

As a special incentive to our online buyers, we are offering instant savings for a limited time. Receive $100.00 instantly with the purchase of 4 tires or 4 wheels.
This savings will be reflected automatically in your shopping cart and applies to the purchase of 4 tires or 4 wheels. You must complete your order online. This offer can be combined with any current promotions and will expire Oct 20, 2007.
Don't mistake this for the Discount Tire B&M stores & website, whose prices include mounting/balancing/etc. This is http://www.discounttiredirect.com, similar to TireRack in that they just ship the tires and you do the rest.

However, with this sale the prices are pretty decent. I was looking at Bridgestone RE960AS ultra-high-performance all-season tires in 245/45-17 size. TireRack was $643 OTD and Discount Tire Direct is $548 OTD.

If they have a tire you were considering, this will probably be a good deal for you!

This also applies to wheels, but I can't speak to that pricing.

wow this is an awesome deal.

The only thing is their snow tires seem very limited.
But the summer tire pricing after $100 off is excellent.

Nice deal!

Unfortunately, the tires I bought last time are $10 more than they were before..ahwell.

My tires at Tirerack OTD =$278.26. Discount Tire Direct is $188.00 OTD and that includes valve stems ! This is hot for me.Thanks Fbrd

I have ordered 2 sets of tires from them. Fast shipping, 2 days from order to my door by UPS. They have warehouses in Ohio, Texas, and Arizona. Tire retailers, like NTB, include new valve stems in the price for mounting and balancing.

What a temptation. And I have to order by Saturday.

I see the closest distribution center (for the wheel set I want) is out of stock. I suppose that means it'll take longer to ship, not that it's not available.

You'll have to hunt around your area. The chains like DiscountTire seem expensive - a lot are $20/tire. You should be able find more like $12/tire

I got mine mounted, balanced, with new valve stems at NTB (National Tire & Battery) for $10. a tire + tax. They even disposed of my old tires for no charge.

BJ Wholesale charges like 3-4 bucks per tire mount and balance for members.
Disposal fee for the old tires is like $1.00 or 1.25 per tire.

Last time i had it done, it was $less than 20 bucks total

prices may vary per store tho.

NTB in Raleigh, NC charges $13ea with lifetime rotation, $18 gets you lifetime balancing too. I called Sam's Club since we have a membership - they don't do bring-your-own-tire. 🙁

WOW I just placed a order yesterday ~$800 for 17" rims, and rubber...I called them, now the total price is ~$675...HOT!!! (the discount is off the retail price, and I worked out a (what I thought) was a good deal 🙂

Nice find. In the past I gotten two sets of tires from Tire Rack and been extremely happy with their prices and service, but it doesn't hurt to have even more price competition.

THANK YOU OP.

You just saved me at least $100.

$372 shipped for 4 tires. $100 less than the tirerack price and $165 less than the local sams club price.

$390 OTD for 4 Yokohama Avid all-seasons for my Tucson...hmmmmmmm. Tirerack had a better price but they were on Kumho's, not Yokohamas.
