It says not for preorders but it goes through. I was going to buy 3 preorder games but they would probably reject that after the fact. Since Black Ops is preloading now I guess they will honor it.

Yes but it has its own preload. So I assume you get the key Tuesday and install it with the file you download like a DVD.

What indicates that buying it through D2D that it is a Steamworks game? might jump on this, thanks.

i emailed them regarding the same issue 2 days ago... heres what their reply.

Hi xxxxx,

Thank you for contacting us!

Yes you will be able to register the game with your Steam account once it’s officially released.

I wonder what the odds are that this game will be $39 between now and Christmas. I don't really need a new game right now.. a little overloaded from Steam.

ZERO odds. COD titles don't fall in price until much later, if at all.

True, the normal price of a new COD title is not going to go down by a third in three months, but there are ALWAYS opportunities for deals if you are diligent.

Last year, I pre-ordered MW2 for $40 from Walmart as a gift for a friend.

what's up with the tax? This is my first online order EVER and my friends have never been taxed on internet orders.

Yes agreed. It won't. Maybe $10. But that will be the sales price. And if it doesn't sell maybe it would drop; similar to MOH. But with all the presales that's not happening either. I waited like months for MW2 to drop and it just never did. So I bit after like 4 months and still paid full price, lol. If you don't preorder, you won't see this game cheap for awhile IMO.

If you are even remotely thinking of buying it. Go to D2D now. I just did. You think it's going to drop more than 25% in the next 6 months?

are the initial reviews overall good? I am currently a BF:BC2 player and love it. will I like the Call of Duty series? I understand that Black Ops is still the old engine.. but since I've never played that engine, not a big deal for me.
