$339.61 for me in Florida. $22 in taxes:frown:. Got it in my cart, pondering whether to click the submit button..... At $317 shipped, it's hot. Add the tax and it's cooled a bit for me.

It's showing $336.44 for me, I'm in FL also.

Gah!! Why do I torture myself by coming into Hot Deals all the time?!?!?!!

I have it all added and all I have to do is submit it and its a done deal, I'm so fvcking tempted, but now is such a bad time to spend the money.

DO IT!!! If you're like me, you just need a little motivation 😉

Must fight the darkside!!

I closed the window, I'm moving in like 3 weeks and really shouldn't be spending any money thats not on things that are "needed" until I get all settled into my new place.

Oh well, I'm sure it'll be this low if not lower soon enough.

I have both the Hyundai and the FP1905. The Dell has better color, better contrast ratio, better viewing angles, better controls and stand, a USB hub, and excellent Dell support. The Hyundai is clearly the better monitor however if you play a lot of fast games; the Dell DOES ghost a fair bit. I love Anandtech, but the 1905 review clearly missed the boat in my opinion in terms of gamming performance.

if u guys like response time, why dont u guys get in on the hyundai lcd that newegg is selling ? 8ms...

Just remember if you buy the hyundai: 8+ dead pixel policy.......

ouch i see

Whoops ignore last no message post

If Im not mistaken New Eggs policy is this for all its monitors...so no real surprise. Dell is Dell they are a major retail show that bends over backwards to make its clients happy...even though I oftentimes dont understand the "accent" of the outsourced techie I speak with..they are always helpful.
Wanna see a review of that Hyundai monitor>?

Tech Bargain also has a coupon for the 2001FP. Anyone think the 2001FP for $524 is a good deal or not?

"meh"

i've seen it in the $480's in which you don't have to pay uncle sam. 🙂

I would hold out for an under $500 deal if you can wait.

Bah, I need a < 16ms 19" panel 🙁

Anandtech's Review

there's too much cr@p about low response times on LCDs. You need to do research, it's not always about the response time. That being said, this is (according to Anandtech) one of the best (if not the best) 19" LCD.

Thanks for the "tip". But, I have done research, and frankly, 20ms just isn't good enough for me, and as such, is not good enough for any of my clients. From what I understand, in all other aspects, it's a great LCD.

And honestly, I will take my own experience or a good friend/colleague's over a h/w site any day.

You guys complaining about response time need to put if you are using DVI or VGA. In my experience there is a difference. Not sure why.

I have played first person perspective games and watched movies on a 25ms plannar PX191 for the past two years ... totally happy with it and I am not bothered by any ghosting. Maybe it's a better monitor than this new technology dell, DVI is better than analoge or I just have "slow" eyes.

That said I have the 1705FP and I do not like that pannel? Why? Very narow vertical angle of view, since I use it in portrait mode it's a major problem.

Can anyone comment on how the 1905FP works in portrait mode?

Thank!

Looking at Newegg, they have the Princeton LCD19D 19" LCT monitor for $378.99 - $100 rebate (Newegg rebate only, rebate ends 3/31) and $6 S/H. Total comes to $285. 5 Star rating out of 131 votes. DVI-D with 25ms response time and FULL 3 year warranty. So, it comes to $55 cheaper than the Dell 1905FP. What do you guys think?

i'd take anandtech's recommendations with great skepticism. Sometimes I wonder if they have some kind of personal gain in making certain recommendations, and I know that they often just make claims for "best" this and that based only on the reviews they have done, meanwhile many unreviewed products aren't even considered. I should really make this another topic, but my point is, I have no idea if this is the best 19" monitor; I'd look for many other reviews before I come close to deciding something like that.
arsw,
If it weren't for A/T hawking, Dell would be #2 or 3. Coincidence?
Naw, must be my overactive imagination again.

Just curious, anyone else order this and get told it's won't ship until Friday? Seems like a long time, but maybe that's just the way it goes.

Scroll down the page at TB a little bit, dognut1305... it's about half way down (posted on 3/21). I just ordered two of these not even 10 minutes ago, so the deal is still very much alive. I can't wait... this will be a nice upgrade from my 17" CRT.

I love this forum. 🙂

Damn, i'm having a tough time deciding between this model and the 2001FP/2005FPW. Anybody have any opinions on the these? Is it worth it for $150+ more for the 20" models?
