for $10 does it really matter? I think this is a pretty good deal

It is not a bad case, however you can't do much with it because the motherboard and power supply are both modified by Dell and the Bios is a Dell version of the Intel Bios.
However if you have a Dell and need a power supply or want extra parts(surprise your dad by showing him the window you put in his case. then have the old panel to put back)
I've spent $10 on much less.

Extra If you look on the same sight This is not a bad deal. If you have an old monitor and keyboard,
some extra ram and another hard drive you can load Win 98 and all your little brother's games on it. It's plenty of power for most Disney, Jumpstart, or Bob the Builder games.

man, i just posted in the celery 300a post about looking for a mobo cheap. $10 might be worth a shot. Drop in my celery 300a and some parts and be good to go.

The Celery 300a posted in the other thread was a socket 370. They did have some 400 HKz Slot 1's though for $13.

if its the case in the picture... its a palo alto designs pa600 case. those cases cost $75 when palo alto used to make them.

it is well probably better than 99% of the cases out there, not to mention 500 times quieter since its made out of plastic.

Just picked up the last Dimension XPS T500 with a 9GB HD (they still have some with a 6GB HD) for $138 shipped. We've been using an XPS T450 for several years without any problems. I like the Dimension series a lot better than the Optiplex. It's actually a nice case once you've figured it all out. This system will be more than adequate for the email, word processing, and web browsing it's going to be used for.

Thanks for the deal!
