oh yeah...for ppl who had already place their order yesterday...you may try to call ur sales rep or this number 877-773-3355 to try to get your extra $40 off... i did get my $40 off but they won't credit me back until the monitor is deliver...so i ended up getting the 2000FP for ~$738...woohoo...:D:Q:):beer:

really?? on my email, it specifically states, "May be combined with other promotions, but not with other coupons."

i think there is a definite YMMV on this one.

I just tried putting this combo in my cart. it went. Damn I bought the 19" yesterday.

GDI, I can't buy this. MY WIFE will fvcking KILL me. I already own 2 17" LCD monitors. If i bought the 20"er (the only one really worth upgrading to from my 17") my wife would FREAK. OMFG.

Ordered my 1800FP last night and it already shipped! I just ordered another with the $40 coupon. #364.19 shipped :Q I couldn't resist. I'm glad I hadn't given away my xtra coupons yet.

I tried calling the csr to apply the coupon to last nights order but he said all coupons need to be applied at the time of purchase. I will just return the other 1800FP when it comes, I hope.

I would expect the order to be cancelled once Dell discovers the error. Some orders may sneak through (keeping my fingers crossed), but no one should be disappointed when their order is cancelled for two valid reasons 1) the coupon was intended for Dell Home 2) the 10% off coupon stipulates that it can not be combined with other coupons. Dell can use either excuse for cancelling the orders.

All I can tell you is:

1. I ordered the 1800FP with all the mentioned discounts, including the $40 coupon, at 9am this morning.

2. I received my order acknowledgement and confirmation emails by 9:15am this morning.

3. My CC I ordered by was already charged at 10am this morning.

4. Monitor is already in production at 1pm today.

Seems as if these orders are going through, at least one seems to be.

And hell, if they cancel the order, nothing lost except a little time.

I think I may get the 1901FP because it would be better for gaming. The problem that I see with the 20 inch is that you are locked in at 1600*1200. I cant imagine the slideshow in HL2 or any other games even with my 9700 Pro and the 3.2 gighertz dell 400SC :D . I also heard that the ghosting in the 1901 FP is almost negligible. Anyone know how much power one would save running a 1901 vs a 21 inch monitor that uses around 100 to 160 watts of power? (running for about 5 hrs a day 7 days a week?) (trying to justify the purchase ;) )

I wanted to order a 1800FP for my wife but she's perfectly happy with our $89 Samsung 753DF.

Besides it's almost a car payment.

Er... I was thinking about that 40 off coupon as well, but if you look at it, its the Dell Home coupon, not an Small Business one. It seemed to work with the SB cart, even then, but don't get too excited about it, since Dell can always claim a mistake, and tack 40 bucks back onto the bill.....

Once they charge your CC, in my case $369.03, they cannot go back and recharge for any additional amount. They can cancel, but not recharge without your permission.

Same here. Paid a tad over $400 about six months back on the last big LCD deal. Been worth every penny. At the rate prices are falling, by this time next year I will buy a 20 incher and give the 18 incher to my sister for Christmas!

Cheers,
