They are $180 normally.

But is this really a price mistake? Officemax has this for $99.99 + $30 Gift Card for their friends & family sale.

I bought this unit last november. Retails for $199 but can be had for $160 at certain retail est. for $160 after coupon savings. Overall impressions: good printer, good scanner, great copier. What more could you ask for at this price point? BTW, my orice, including tax (cetral Florida) and shipping was $119. This is a greta deal ... go get 'em.

That would make the printer $70 at OM? How come no one posted that before.

Wow this is HOT HOT HOT, great price for a multifunctional printer.

It's like paying for an inkjet printer but getting the copy/scan/fax all for free.

I'm already the proud owner of an HP OfficeJet v40 which is an awesome printer but wow this Lexmark price is amazingly low esp with FREE overnight shipping.

High ink costs are inherent with Lexmark printers, as it's almost impossible to find generics. Might be a good deal initially, but in the long run, the ink will clean out your wallet. HP and Epson are the better long term deal IMHO (even at regular prices).

That's exactly right. Inkjets are a waste of money in most cases IMHO. Just get a decent laser like Samsung ML-1210 or Brother HL-1440, they'll serve you well for years to come!

Despite the fact that Lexmark rapes you over the longhaul with high ink cartridge costs I would still seriously consider buying this just because of the copy/fax/scan features which are quite handy to have at home. The other night my wife and I had to fax some documents to ING Direct, it was nice being able to do it from home instead of taking it to work or Kinko's or scanning it in then fax'ing it via internet or modem. I do whole heartedly agree that the Brother HL-1440 is an awesome home/office laser jet printer, I love my HL-1240!
