The issue of so called "typographical errors" has been used by business to hide behind . cover up, or otherwise divert attention from the issue(s) at hand.

Everyone TRIES to hide behind this so called disclaimer and obviousely appropriate authorities need to make the final determination.

The offer of the rebates was the inducement to get orders. They offered, we accepted; to many, this constitutes a contract.

This is too funny!
My order just arrived even though I cancelled it the day this thread started.
Dell has some great deals but one helluva screwed up ordering system.

Timeline of events:
1) 9/26 around 7 A.M. Place order after reading about the deal in this thread
2) 9/26 around 6 P.M. cancel order because of concern about rebates not being honored
3) ~ One week later get email from Dell saying they?ll honor both rebates
4) Delete email and DON?T respond to it at all
5) Today 10/08/2003 10:30 A.M. mail-room clerk shows up in my cubicle with a Dell box in his hands
6) :)

FYI - It's retail packaging and includes a FREE controller card.

I got my two harddrives today, I told them I need to cancel one order and keep one, but they end up shipped all of them. Now I have a question for you guys:

The packing slip in the boxes all show my name and customer, if I mail the two rebates to them (or 2x2), one using my address, and the other one using my friend's name and address, do you think Dell is gonna honor all rebates?

Thanks and need input!

Maybe, unless they want to be very strict and nail you on the "one per person per address whatever" rule.
