Top notch camera, I have one, you wont be disappointed. Things you will need to go with it. Rechargeable batteries. Go to Thomas Distributing ( The Newegg of Rechargables ) and get this Charger Kit if you need one. These batteries last a long long time. You'll need a bigger Compact Flash card too. Since the A40 has video capabilites, I'd go with a 128MB card which you can find at Newegg.
Throw in a Flash card reader and your all set.

This is a good price for a good camera. If not I already have another 2.1MP digicam (Canon S110), I 'd really jump into the train. Now I just wanna save my bullet to shoot the upcoming new S230. As compact as S110, S230 will be a 3.2MP digicam instead.

I'm calling dell to bitch them out. They had a week shipping delay supposedly on my order and I wanted the new price so I emailed them about it and they didn't change it. They better change it. Anyone know if they have a restocking fee?

Dell does not have price protection on peripherals. Only Dell systems will be price protected within 30 days. This is Dell's official policy. However, I successfully got them to refund me twice due to the price drop of the item I purchased from them within 30 days on peripherals. I am telling you, their policy is very flexable. Whether you succeed really depends on the mood of the CSR. If you step on a nail, try call another CSR later. Certainly, you have to explain your situation in a polite manner. Bitching them is not gonna work.

I bought a Canon G2 and a Canon S9000 photo printer from Dell in two different orders this summer. And both times they did refund me the differece due to the price drop. One time the CSR just asked me how much I wanna be credited without further question. If you are really with no luck, tell them you can always return the item within 30 days for full refund and then place another order with cheaper price. Then why not just simplify the process and directly refund you for the difference?!
