Did they email you or does you account reflect the shipping date? I called and got next day shipping, and the lady told me that it would ship out today. So far there is no sign: no email or update on my online account info.

Wow I guess I'll call too. I was thinking of calling but I ended up just using Dell Chat and email. Dell chat was useless, but the email the guy offered me a $50 coupon. I thought after all that calling would be pointless, but I'm on the phone right now hopefully I'll see if I can't get one shipped to me.

First call no go, the guy just told me there is a delay and he would tell the manufacturing department to "expedite" my order. oh wells I'll try once more.

Note that several other members who were waiting on it to ship were promised next-day air but DID NOT receive it. I am one of them. Their webpage carrier and delivery date all said next-day air, but lo and behold it is ground.

That is low. If I can't get Next Day, then they should at least tell me. Now Dell is resorting to outright lying?

er mine was upgraded to Next Day shipping not next day air... and it doesn't really matter to me if it comes by air or ground as long as I get it the next business day :p

Well I think it was implied that it was next-day air. My delivery date said 1 day after shipment, and Texas is probably 30 hours away or more, so it had to be air. But when they actually shipped it (through carrier DHL) they just sent it ground.

My first job I had we shipped out a lot. Our UPS business rate for a 1 pound next-day air was $20.75. Considering they had free shipping on the monitors already, I can't imagine them giving out a bunch of next-day airs for free. That would be expensive.

I'm sorry, but if they insist on delaying my order 2.5 weeks without even telling me they were OOS at the time of purchase, then I expect some sort of compensation.

And the wait continues for me. I've been upgraded to Next Day Delivery. Was kinda hoping to get a coupon as I wanted to order something else also... Ohh well.

EDIT: Status Shows as shipped now with an estimated delivery tomorrow. I am doubting I'll see it tomorrow though... That would be way to convienent for me.

EDIT: Also, shipped via FedEx rather than DHL.

EDIT: What a bunch of Fvcks. My status which showed as expected delivery Aug 12th has changed to Aug 16th and in the status box it says "Future Delivery Requested" So my monitor sits in Nashville TN FedEx till next Wednesday.

I'm getting that BS "Future Delivery Date Requested" as well. WTF?! How is this Next Day shipping if it doesn't even ship until half a week later?!

just got everything running July 05 A02. Although the stand was manufactured June 16 lol *shrug* Havent noticed any dead pixels although it seems to have the same backlight problems as my previous one I'll let it warm up and get dark before I make final judgement.

I got mine today, it looks perfect, I did the dead pixel test, nothing, It's been on a while and I haven't noticed anything with bleeding, and I haven't noticed any of the wavy vertical lines that others have. I'm very happy that I don't have to send it back.

Not wavy vertical lines. They are wavy horizontal lines on the left side(in most cases) of your monitor. Change the background of your windows desktop to gray. They are about 1.5" to 2" wide. Are you using DVI? If you don't have them, congratulation to you since myself and quite a few other people on this board and other boards are having the exact same problem after a few replacements. I am getting my 3rd monitor and I am hoping this one won't have any problem but I doubt it.

Do you have REVA02?

Are you using the DVI or the standard VGA connector? If you see waviness w/ vga connector, try lowering the refresh rate (I'd recommend 60hz). LCD's don't refresh the same way as a CRT and I've noticed a refresh of 75/85hz or more can cause waviness to occur.

I am using DVI and it is set to 60hz. It is just not me, quite a few people are having this problem. Search for "wavy" and you will see.

Just got my moniter from my order on 7-28. I'm using DVI and its at 60hz max resolution I haven't noticed any wavy lines or with the one I got before. However I think there might be backlight problems again :(

I received mine like 2 hours ago. I notice the issue with the wavy lines. I tried the tip offered here at AT, and it worked. At least on the Nvidia cards. You need to go to the display properties of the 2005FPW in the Nvidia drivers. Choose "Screen resolutions and refresh rate" and then click the "Advanced timing" tab. It'll open another window. Under the refresh rate type 73.125 and then apply. It'll change the pixel clock to 146 which is the one that fixes the issue. After that hit apply and, you're good to go. Don't worry if after you apply it reverses back to 119 mhz(pixel rate) it still will apply it. Good luck. It work for me.

i just picked up a 2005fpw too.
running it plugged in to an apple powerbook g4 1GHz with DVI-D.
seems ok, although quality isn't that great. running dvds still show up with black lines on the top and bottom and not full screen.
no dead pixels, no backlight bleeding.
however when i put on a grey backround i notice the outlines of a very large box int he middle of the screen. hard to see but still there.
i'm hoping it's just the laptop and it's sh*tty graphic card.

it's a July 05 Rev A02 btw

I received mine yesterday. I was in a big rush to leave so I only got to test it for about 10 minutes. And my room wasn't very dark nor was the monitor warmed up, but there was no backlight bleeding under those conditions (even on a completely black screen). Using Dead Pixel Buddy, I couldn't spot a single dead/stuck pixel. I couldn't on the 1905FP I used in lab either, but I can on my friend's Mac laptop, so I do know what they look like.

I only got a chance to fire up HL2 DM and play for 2 minutes, but widescreen is AWESOME. Overally I am quite impressed with it. Sukcs that I waited for 2.5 weeks and now I'm outta town so I can't use it for another 2 weeks. I want to try hooking up a Xbox and try some 480p games on it when I get back to it.
