dagnabit, i saw this over at gotapex, and finally had to break down and buy one. all I can say is, this is smoking hot like a scorched monkey. Just a little worried about the low contrast ratio, but I suppose we'll find out in 3-5 business days.

Contrast Ratio is 350:1. How is that low? More mid range IMHO. I know that 500:1 ratio's are out now but I wouldn't say 350:1 is low at all with many 250:1 and 200:1 ratio's still out on the market.

Some Cleartype info(Tuner):

Cleartype information in general:

On Dell's forums people also suggest loading the Dell 1800fp driver

The low down on the 1yr vs 3yr Warranty questions.

After looking forever I found something on monitor warranties. This should help some. Notice the wording here "All Dell system flat panel monitors are covered by up to a 3-year limited warranty and backed by Dell service and support"

Link to DELL flat panel comparisions as well.

I have a Visiontek GF4 Ti4400 with a DVI connector. However, I don't know if it is DVI-I or DVI-D. Which one is better? Would I be able to take full advantage of this monitor?

edit: nevermind... i found my answer here. DVI-I can do both analog and digital

Just a word of warning, if you have a Geforce3 Ti500, DVI don't work unless you flash your bios. I went through a nightmare of searching to find this out. Dell doesn't acknowledge this.

Just go through the order process and fill in all the fields. For company name you can put anything. I've even put "N/A" and "None" in some cases when it asks for company.
