Here is a Photo of what it looks like.
One Hugh Jass photo of the Hub.

Thanks to Beelerspace for posting the Original Thread The only reason I posted again as it appears this deal is not dead, but online only and there was some discussion at to if this works on a PC. I have one, and it works PERFECTLY. It is just a 4 port USB hub that happens to say Playstation 2 on the front. Don't miss a good deal if you need to expand your USB ports.

If you go to EBGames.com and enter Shark Hub in the search field, you will come up with a Game Shark Hub for a Playstation 2 for $8.99. Fed-Ex 2 day air was $4.99 for me.

OK, this is a 4 Port, POWERED hub that will work on a PC. No discussion, I bought one when the deal was B&M and it is a 4 port hub. If you need a USB hub this is a good deal since you will get it for 14 bucks shipped, and it will set level or upright in the included holder. IT IS TINY. Just the thing for a Notebook case (where I will be carrying mine)

I got one last week at the B&M store, then found out my Sister needed one. I figured the deal was dead, but when I checked online I was amazed that they still had some so I ordered another just to have around. (My Sister also scored one)

Here is a review I found

:)

I do not think this is powered other than through the usb - ie, it is not a powered usb hub....

The hub is a powered hub (it's sitting right next to me, plugged in).

It can also function as an unpowered hub (nice for low current USB devices and laptops) according to the manual, but only with "low enough" current draw devices.

I just pulled the plug on it, and neither the logitech QuickCam Express nor the Gravis GamePad Pro connected to it continued to work. In fact, my Logitech trackball (not connected to it) also stopped working :( After disconnecting all three of those devices and replugging, everything's working fine now.

Oh well. Anyway, it's definitely a powered hub.

Jack159,

In the box you will find:

1 4 port USB hub

1 AC adaptor

1 A to B USB cable.

Here is a review I found on Gameshark.com

This is an AC powered USB hub, but if you unplug the included power supply, it will function as a BUS powered hub. A gamepad will probably still work with a BUS powered hub, but most newer devices like Optical mice and trackballs will only work with an AC powered Hub.

I only posted this after I bought one and tried it out. I liked it so much I bought another one just to have around. Got the first one B&M and I see my second one will come Fed-Ex tomorrow. I ordered this Friday afternoon and they shipped that night. I was impressed.

I ccouldn't find a decent picture of this hub anywhere so I ordered one anyway. Good price and shipping wheather the cables connect on front or rear. Also , pictures show it in a vertical stand. Oh well I guess it will be a surprise package when I get it.

How's that for a close-up?

The power and USB B cable plug in the back, and you plug the USB A cables in the front. The Hub slides out of the vertical carrier if you want to use it horizontally. I would put some rubber bumpers on the bottom if you want to do that, to keep it from sliding.

Thanks Maverick. I missed that picture in my google travels. That appears to be a very good layout for a USB hub. I am sure I will be happy with it.

GOOD EXPERIENCE.
I decided to increase my order on this item from 1 to 2. Not being able to figure out how to do this on line, I called their toll free number. Guess what, a real human answered the phone. I explained what I wanted to do and she said that since my other item was in shipping they would have to ship the second item separately but there would be no additinal shipping charges. Total time spent on this transaction - 3 minutes.

Found a very dusty one at a B&M. They had it high up on a wall. Marked 29.99, but came up as 9.99. Sometimes you have to look for these suckers....

And yes, now that I finally found one, it is a powered hub.

thanks

Thanks Maverick319.

Coincidentally, my adult daughter just mentioned a week or so ago that she needed a hub for her laptop so I picked up 2 of these. Since I don't do games, never in this world would I have found them without your post.

Thanks again. :D
