Just ordered parts for new comp build but holding off on vid card since the Egg/world+dog went crazy on 3870 pricing. With this info I was able to purchase a 3870 for the original price plus some. Thanks for watching out for fellow AT peeps.
 
who cares how long it takes to get it??? I'm tempted to get a 2nd one for xfire...but I think it will be more fun to just keep what I have now and leave myself more upgrade options in the future 🙂

Unless Dell has changed, they will not allow the shipper (UPS?) to leave anything on the porch. I even subitted a written document to UPS and they told me that Dell needs a signature. With the Pay Pal AR, mine will be shipped by Dec 10th for 193.97.

Interesting how these things go in cycles. I remember that it was November, 2001 that I bought a Radeon 8500 with my first order from Dell, as it was the first card that offered Geforce Ti4x performance at under $200. Six years later, I'm spending the same money for the first card offering Geforce88xx performance under $200.

that's got to be pushing it on the best that deal is gonna get. how much lower are you hoping to get? $192? $191? $189??? if you are gonna "hold out a bit longer for the lowest price" then you probably should just skip this generation because you don't need a gpu right now, anyway. why pay $1 for a $2 item that you don't need ? 🙂
 
At times like this it hurts to be in Canada. Don't get me wrong, I luv it here but when it comes to deals............we usually suck. I did make an order for a 3870 from Extreme PC (www.extreme-pc.ca) but they are jerking too many people around with their "In Stock" listings but then coming back with a "be patient we just had 500-600 orders for the item & are trying to catch up" bunk. There aren't even the ones holding the stock & I wish they would just man up & say they don't have any to ship right now. They are even still giving out fast delivery dates but the item never arrives when they say.

Congrats to all those who can take advantage of these deals.

Take a deep breath and read my first post. I'm not enjoying anything from Dell or Paypal and nobody here is buying from Newegg so your rant is even more pointless.
