He said he talk to the manager and the manger honored the price to him, and he even give him a order number. I don't think this will work anymore since the manger said he will change the price right away.

Yeah I'm sure this place is going to take a $18K loss on this item and sell it to your friend. ;)

I believe they can make such a mistake. They made 2 huge ones with me.

#1 Placed an order for an Mits HDTV a year after they first came out and were still in short supply. They send shipping confirmation, but then the set never arrives. We cancel the Mits and get a Pioneer instead, overriding (and apparently detroying any record of) the Mits. The Pio arrives. 2 weeks later the Mits arrives. I call and they say "we have no record of that shipment. You should just take delivery." I tried to give it back, but they really want to give me the Mits for free. ;) Plus, the original mix-up led to a sweet (at the time) deal on the Pio. Total savings: $3900 (Cost of Mits plus discount on Pio)

#2 I order a set of Atlantic Tech speakers (sub, center, left right, 2 surrounds) plus an extra set of fronts (this was before "6.1" but my Denon receiver would allow me to switch the surrounds from the dipoles to monopoles depending on the source). They charge me for everything and send the 5.1 setup, but not the extra fronts. I call to complain and at this point they say they cannot sell AT because AT does not authorize internet sales (except for a few select models). They are happy to refund my purchase. Someone must have figured if they can't sell AT then I never got the 5.1 setup, and therefore credit my card for the entire amout! Total savings $1200.

I was SO sure they would be the first to go in the big internet retailer shakeout, but I guess not. I am not surprised if they let a typo slide for one person. Maybe they're a money-laundering front1

The company must be insane. I wonder how big of a company they are, that they can afford to take losses like that.

Kind of odd that they "know" about the price mistake, but it still comes up
with the error now. Sounds like they are using the error to get you in
to the site.

I just called to verify that they don't have any sales personel stupid enough to sell it to me for $1300.... The conversation went something like this:

Rep: "How can I help you?"
Me: "Hi, I'm interested in a plasma television"
Rep: "Are you referring to model number MU-60PZ10B?"
Me: "Ummm... yes... that's the one..."
Rep: "There is a price mistake on our website that we are waiting to be fixed... blah, blah, blah.....I'd buy one myself if they were that cheap.... blah, blah, blah... the are regularly $20K.... blah, blah, blah"
Me: "Ummmm... bye."

I didn't even tell them I was looking at the website or which model, only that I was interested in a "plasma tv". Supposedly it will be fixed later today...
