Uh, there are 3 seasons and 36 episodes. Firefly had 1 season and 14 episodes.

Uh, the point is that the series ended rather abruptly without any real sense of conclusion. Y'know, context matters--and here we're talking about how the shows ended their runs. So in this case, the comparison is very apt.

Oh, and very good price on a great show.

Just an heads up I was at my local Best Buy in Syracuse, NY and they also had the complete Deadwood Box Set for $75, as well as individual season for $35 a piece.

Yeah, absolutely fantastic series, its like Shakespeare meets Jerry Springer in the Old West. The show did end rather abruptly and not at its conclusion, there was a rumor for awhile that the series was going to be finished out in a 2 hour movie conclusion (like firefly). But HBO has a terrible habit of cancelling some of there better stuff where characters often talk intelligently (like Carnivale, which was also fantastic and cancelled cause HBO sucks testicle).

*just a note, I meant to write the singular of the portion of the male reproductive organ, because thats all HBO deserves sometimes.

I didn't watch Firefly, but from what I understood its ending was far more abrupt than Deadwood's.

$102.99 now 🙁
I hate when I miss the good ones.
HBO is great when it comes to developing great new shows, and dumb as a bag of hair when it comes to keeping them going or ending them. The guys who wrote the last episode of The Sopranos should be forced to watch that one episode 23 hours a day for the rest of his life. I've heard the reason Deadwood ended was no one at HBO thought to extend the contracts of the main characters. We should have Dan pluck out their eyes and then feed them to Wu's pigs.

Firefly didn't have an ending. Serenity was the ending. 😛
