Same thing over at Newegg too, just incase this one goes OOS.

Bah! That is TWICE as expensive as the Kingston deal was at Fry's today. Outrageous!

Actually, this is pretty nice for Corsair. The last round of rebates at Newegg for Corsair was paid via prepaid Visa card, which is a hassle. These look like they will be paid by check.

And, it's also $24.99 AR at Newegg, minus Live cashback, too. 🙂

Just ordered it from New Egg - they take PayPal. Free shipping, no tax. 🙂
Thanks for the heads up...

Use the Paypal debit card instead, and get 1.5% back!!

Can someone please provide a link to the deal at NewEgg?

They have a Corsair 2x1GB kit (CAS5) for $22.99 after rebate, but their Corsair 2x2GB kit (CAS5) is $44.99 after rebate. (I don't want the CAS4 stuff--the voltage requirement is too high.)

I'm not used to seeing 4GB kits as cheap as 2GB kits. Could there be some confusion here?

Is the Kingston the same as the Corsair? Which one do you think would OC better?

Eh...let's just say this here memory won't do 1066 with 2.0V running through it. I originally had DDR2-1066 Crucial Ballistix in my mobo at 2.0V and my mobo was trying to set these new sticks to that level. Wouldn't do it and told me my OC had failed. I'm not really concerned though since I'll be overclocking my E7200 mess over Thanksgiving to 3.6GHz or something.

The Kingston is 6-6-6-18 and low-profile, no heat spreaders, 1.8v (EDIT: I'm talking about the stuff from Fry's); the Corsair is 5-5-5-18 with heat spreaders and MAY require 1.9v.

I bought some of this stuff, and am using it in a LAN gaming rig build. This will be a really lightweight system, so I'm trimming weight everywhere! Well, except for the video card and PSU. This Kingston low profile RAM weighs less than one stick of regular enthusiast stuff with heatspreaders.

I'm running a 32-bit OS, but just couldn't hold out against 4GBs of 1.9v Corsair @ $21.99 (after code & rebate).

Question: can I submit a total of two rebates if I buy one pair from Frys and another pair from Newegg?

The Newegg deal is still alive. Also, it's available at amazon for $53.50 with $30 rebate, FSSS, and no tax in many states. The new rebate expires on the 30th.

Edit: Newegg's will be $15AR on Friday.
