The drive works great. Now all we need is for some affordable 4x medias.

How come OfficeMax says:

Write Speed: 2x (DVD) or 8x (CD)?

When the specs for the A05 say it writes DVD at 4X and CD at 16X?

Do we really know that the Cendyne is based on the 4X Pioneer mechanism?

Info and the pic on the web site is the 2x drive, but Officemax has been sending people the 4x drive for the last 2 months because they are OOS on the 2x drive.

I just bit the bullet. I suppose I should say thanks for the Hot Deal, but spending $240 (after tax) makes me cranky!

Yes, it does work great but is very picky about what media to burn at 2x. My 103 burns more media at 2x than the 105.

Not a single problem with mine, not a single coaster that wasn't my own fault. Great drive!

How likely is this to happen? Do you think they will give us the 50.00 Difference? I might just buy it then and add 30.00 in FAR stuff and return this one?

How would one carry out this pricematch? Would having used a coupon pose a problem?
