An oldie but a goodie... The right heatsink + undervolting to ~1.5V may allow passive cooling, or most every 633 will o'c to 100MHz FSB, 950Mhz, maybe even at default (1.7?) voltage using a $2 heatsink, though certainly YMMV.

Edit: Recently Directron has been shipping some older cB0 stepping Celeron 633, those older CPUs are NOT very likley to be overclockable to 950MHz.

You can't run Coppermine/FCPGA Celerons in Dual/SMP mode, the last Celery to allow that was the PPGA Celeron 533 (and slower models of Covington and Mendocino).

The last Celery I bought from Directron (after they were already old tech) was a 700 or 733Mhz. It would not run stable at > 1GHz no matter what Vcore I tried. This doesn't bode well for old Celerons from Directron, but it's a LOT easier to get one running at < 1Ghz (950MHz). I'd think it's a likely, reasonable goal but no guarantees of course..

If you guys want to spend a few more bucks and not need to worry about overclocking; Computer Geeks has the FCPGA celery 1.1ghz chips for $41 - 10% off code, so about $42 shipped. I bought a couple to extend the life of my trusty BH6 boards.

I am using this slotket:

StarTech PPGA/FCPGA-to-Slot 1 CPU Adapter Card allows Socket-370 type CPUs to be installed in a Slot-1 style Pentium II/III motherboard. The processor bus frequency can be auto-detected at 66/100/133 MHz in order to provide best compatibility between the CPU and motherboard, or it can be forced to 100 MHz for overclocking.

Maybe not, Celerons up to 466 were PPGA not FC-PGA, many PPGA LX/ZX chipset motherboards were not able to handle the newer chips. If it's a BX-chipset motherboard then it probably will but you may be a BIOS update and/or to use a slotket.

One of those at compgeeks is actually a celeron tualatin, one is just fcpga. Those are both 11X100 though so you might have troubles if the board won't do 11 multiplier which is entirely possible.

I tricked out both my BH6 machines with the FCPGA 1.1Ghz celeries for my kids friends to play LAN games on my network. On one machine I installed a refurb Gainward 128mb Geforce3 Goledn Sample Ti200's from Newegg - it OC's to Ti500 speed. Scores 4583 on 3DMark2001SE, not too shabby for the ole BH6. My Abit KT7 Duron 1.1ghz machine with more RAM and a Geforce4 Ti4200 scores 4854. I have a Geforce3 Ti500 arriving Monday from an EBay purchase for the other BH6. That will be the end of the cycle for the BH6's.....should be good for a while for everything except the very newest games.

BAD advice!
The CPU sets the multiplier internally. The board has nothing to do with that.
The board has to have the right CPU socket and supply the proper voltage to the CPU. This is one reason why "slockets" or "adapter/converters" are sometimes required.
