you can't return something without a receipt.. that is ofcourse they give you merchandise credit at for the cheapest price available.. so at the time bought it was 55 now you only get 40 back.

Well, the guys on the board are saying that they can track your purchase through the barcode printed on everybodys rebate receipts and original receipts. So maybe the rebate people scan the barcode on your rebate receipt to see if you returned anything or did anything fishy. They don't need UPC for hardly any of their rebates... i bought other junk on black friday from BB, and only 1 of my 5 purchases require actual UPCs
 
Love this video card; what a great deal!!

This card was OBNOXIOUSLY LOUD, until I installed the Arctic NV Silencer 5. That quieted it right down. Newegg sells the NV5 for right around $29 shipped, and it's worth every penny! Oh, in case anyone is wondering, the 6800 + NV5 are installed in a Biostar iDEQ 200N, and it FITS with no mods! I was surprised at how HUGE the cooler is. Also surprised that the card runs just fine on the 200W power supply.
 
awesome joedogma, did you do added 10% witht he card when you bought it? There was a coupon that was floating around. Or did you just do the regular 279+55 HL and got you 105 rebate? Because some people were combining it with the 10% coupon.

The 10% off coupon and $30 off discount weren't combinable, although one guy claims to have done it.

I got my $105 rebate yesterday. My cost came out to:

$299.99 BFG 6800 OC
+$54.99 HL2
-$30 off at the register (no coupon)
-$15 pricematch to $39.99 HL2 price the next week
-$105 rebate
-$10 Reward Zone
-$20 MIR in the HL2 box when I purchased an ATI x700 Pro 256MB ($175 after 10% off and $5 RZ!)
= $175 + tax on $310
 
I got 10% off the card at the register (not a coupon)...

$55 for HL2
$270 for card
sub t= $325

$105 rebate....not a bad deal at all...
 
Didn't wanna resurrect this thread cuz i hate it when ppl do that, but since it's already been done, might as well chime in, I got my rebate too. If you haven't yet expect yours soon, unless you're one of them DEVILS.
 
hahah ok that's nice to hear I was so afraid because I did a price match to the Half Life 2 to 39.99 the next day and I was just afraid that my rebate wouldn't go through. thanks for the info guys.
 
just got my 105 rebate today. total for the card and HL2 was about 350. minus the 105 rebate, and the net cost is around 250. not bad. too bad i couldn't unlocked the 4 pipes, but i got the vertex
