Acknowledgment...different from confirmation. 🙂 We'll know when we see the tracking info with a weight.

Sorry bout that; I got ahead of myself - post edited.

This happened with the Rio Karma a few weeks ago, and Dell just cancelled all the orders.
I think there's little hope that they will honor this one.
Ordered one anyway 🙂)
It was so much fun to see the thread grow to several hundred posts within hours and people yelling fighting over an imaginary toy...
I don't want to stay out of the party this time either!!!

lol I highly doubt Dell is gonna come through on these unless they wanna lose a lot of money...on the upside the FW thread isn't too long compared to some previous dell fiascos...

Heh if they come through I will be a VERY happy man =)

do you know for sure that they're losing money if they sell it for $80?

you never know how much it costs to make that thing.

I ordered last night, received my order acknowledgement about 2 hours later.

But still no order confirmation and when I login to Dell.com to check my order status, nothing.

*fingers crossed*

10 fingers crossed.. and damm... crossed my toes too.
Wonder if I can walk after all this crossing😉

Must be some Dell Execs in a meeting at this moment deciding whether this deal should be let through (Good for business) or whether they should cancel the 50000 orders which they just got. May be some financial geniasses are calculating the loss% or the profit % at this very moment!! Poor guys. Must be having a tough morning:|

Good Luck all

Mohan.

anyone got a confirmation yet?

I bet there's at least one former dell associate that is now looking for a job.

Just logged into my Dell account.
All my orders show shipped!!
Of course, the Axim isn't shown and I never received a confirmation. 🙁

On a brighter note, Compusa never canceled my HL2 pre-order.

when did you place your order?
This morning about 5:00 PST

I ordered at about 2:30am PST.
Did get the order-acknowlegement, but still no confirmation. Does not show in "my orders" at dell (yet...)

The guys at Dell must be thinking: "WOW I guess there is a huge demand for our USB cradles....."

Did you even bother to read the thread?

It has already been proven, it is not just a USB cradle.

I'm in the same boat, I got the acknowledgment, but never a confirmation, my account shows all my old orders but no mention of this one.

Same here...I ordered this morning around 8:30 EST.

It takes a day or so to be added to your order page (and to get the actual confirmation). Sit on your hands, or go eat a turkey or something. By the time you wake up you'll know one way or the other.

After this meeting, they have another meeting to attend. How to stop all these price mistakes happening every week or so. Maybe they are saying to themselves, "we have gotten too big to manage all that."

i am pretty sure that Dell's database managers, marketing managers, website managers and customer service managers must be going through hell right now. They have to deal with thousands of such orders based on price mistake every week and getting yelled at both, from the customer and the Dell Execs.
