(Dead) At Staples CenDyne "32x12x40" (Lite-ons, Mitsumi & AOpen) "$30.00" AR & coupon

It is a Staples rebate, not Cendyne. This is good, as Staples rebates have been fantastically fast the last few months. I highly recommend starting the rebate submission online and then mailing the documents later.
 
Online wouldn't work for me from 6:30am EST. I just called up @ 10:45 placed the order, with some .69 paper clips and used the coupon code over the phone and all is good!
 
Placed my order online about 30 minutes ago. Got the confirmation e-mail with no problem just now. Might be because I already have the items and coupon sitting in my shopping car, awaiting checkout.
 
Ordered mine at 9:21 EDT to be delivered to 07748 zip code.

No problems, but during checkout it said delivery will be changed from 1-day to 4-day.
 
Ordered online and got my email confirmation about 15 mins ago as well from zip 20904. Also, I don't know if it just me, but I had added items to the cart and entered the coupon without logging in. However, after checking out/logging in, the coupon was gone. It was not a problem re-adding it, but I was somewhat careless and almost hit the "place order" button without double checking things. Anyway, all is good now.

Can someone tell me exactly what reciept to use when sending in for the 50.00 rebate? Is it the reciept that you print out at the site or the reciept they email to you or the reciept that comes with the actual product? I don't want to screw this one up.
 
No problem with the coupon. They did have some MGI PHotosuite software for 2.50, but that was sold out. I didnt need to add anything to go over 100.00 to use the coupon, and my coupon code didnt disappear when I checked out 🙂

getting errors when trying to view the weekly specials, argh. Any1 noe how to get the tdks for $13? stills says $20 for me. Is there a $7 coupon code?
 
Can I order online and pick it up at my local Staples immediately?

And I know this has been asked before, but I want to make sure: If I buy online and print my electronic reciept out, can I still submit the electronic reciept (as opposed to the retail store reciept) and get the $50 rebate?

One more question: if I don't order online, can I still bring the $20 off $100 coupon into the store and have the sales rep apply the coupon in the retail store?

I got the verbatim one. XP recognizes it as a verbatim, but I did read that it's made by lite-on.

Any idea which lite-on model it is exactly and if the lite-on firmware can be flashed into it?

Just got back from my local Staples in So. Calif. They only had 6 Cendyne 32x12x40 in stock, and I was the first one in the door. The serial #s on all of the ones at this store were like this example:

916D3712521406117JED1

I have not opened up my boxes yet, but doesn't this type of serial # corrrespond with it being an AOpen or Acer drive????? I seem to remember the Office Max $35 Cendyne 24x10x40 thread describing this serial combination as being an AOpen or Acer. I guess I could live with an AOpen, but I'd rather eat a Ritek CD than put an Acer in my system. Please tell me I'm wrong about this.
 
Anyone have a printable 20 off 100 they can pm me? I've got all the codes but haven't found one that I can print. And staples.com has some internal error when i click on the Cendyne to order. I'd rather goto the store to pick it up myself, that's why I'm asking. TIA

edit: Thank you chunky wallet search. Anyone know if staples will care if the coupon is the 8x11? or what size it should be?

I had the same problem as well when I clicked on the item description/name. However, clicking on the "add to cart" button worked fine, and got my ordered in that way.
 
Strange...picked mine up, firmware info just shows it at 32x12x40, no brand name, also, only 2MB like the box shows with the mitsumi-style serial number. Nero indicates 2MB also, definitely not the 16MB version. But the first burn went fine (78min audio CD @ 20x), so I guess I'm happy with it.
