Monkeyman...
The ad says that it's an "In Store" special, but they have it for 99.98 on the website, also. If you buy it online on Sunday, will they not honor the rebate?
All of Staples rebates are good on purchased made on-line or off- line.

Does anybody have any experience with the buy early, return and rebuy scheme?
Im just wondering if i HAVE to bring all the products back, or can i just bring the receipt with me?
I bought lots of stuff today and it is a lot to carry---haha

Hey As i see it the Mitsumi drive supports Mt. Rainer format... what is that and if its good to have...
You read about the "Mt. Rainier" Format here LINK

Hahaha... I actually read it! 🙂 unfortunately, I'm even more puzzled. 🙁
It doesn't tell you jack.

glad someone said it before me...and my printable 20/100 sux...the quality looks nice, but apparently you need a laser printer to get it right...can easily tell it's been printed...looks like i'm gonna have to get it online...

btw buffers for early drives had 2mb or 4mb buffer, this one has got 16!!!

have other 24x or ~40x drives also got such large buffers?
I belive that the Mitsumi (not all models) is the only CD-RW drive with a 16MB buffer, most CD-RWs only have a 2MB to 8MB buffer.

Most likely you will end up with the 2MB version of the Mitsumi drive. I heard that they stopped making the 16MB version of the drive altogether in February. In any case, its still a very good deal.

Went to Staples today, just looking around for some stuff..Staples is gearing up for this special they had a table STACKED there had to be 50 to 100 burners sitting at the front door, apparently they are expecting them to go out the door fast

have the Lite-on 32x Drive (Cendyne) and it is great!! Very quiet, fast and a 2mb buffer. The Nero software is keyed to work only with this burner. In otherwords, it will not work with any other burner, only the one it comes with. I have burned about 50 cds without even one coaster. I have checked my Staples and they have several of these in stock. Iam definately going to get another one this Sunday

would the lite-on burn cdr using cdr win and disjuggler??

what is the different between the lite-on and mitsumi, beside that mitsumi support the mount Raineier??

so if you put cheap 16x cdr from compusa in the lite-on, it only burn @ 16x due to the smartburn. correct??

Geez, I hate people that never read the threads and start asking for help.

If you bothered to read the title, you will see the deal isn't available till 5-19. Meaning the rebate will NOT show up or even WORK until 5-19 or possibly 1 or 2 days before.

Have you even bothered to do a google search for staples coupons? Geez, its not that hard to find... Not to mentions theres tons of hints of where to find these all over the hot deals forum.

Geez! I tried searching all over google b4 asking here and couldn't find a valid $20 off $100. I guess someone needs to do some more homework!

I called them up because i ordered the cendyne today and they said that there is a 10 day grace period so I can still get the rebate!

This is crap. I called three different times earlier today and was told no such policy exists.
