Dead: Asus Radeon HD 4830 512MB......$68.99 after rebates!

Excellent reviews from previous buyers on Newegg (mostly 5 star). Sapphire dumped their old rebate house of horrors for WorldWideRebates (I'm 1 for 1 ok so far with them).

Just a tad faster. 5-10% maybe in some games while dead even on some.

These overclock great though. Easily exceed 4850 performance once overclocked.

Nice thanks. Now i just need a $400-$450 Dell deal for a budget gaming rig.

I've got this card and it OC's like a beast.

You can easily use Radeon BIOS Editor to increase the core voltage from 1.04v to 1.15v and should allow you to push the core to well over 700Mhz. Mine is currently running at 750/1040 up from the stock speeds of 575/900.

If I remember correctly, the X1650 was about the same level as a 6800GS. If that's the case, an HD4850 is about 6 times better in many cases than the 6800GS. Drop that down a notch and I think it should at least be 5 times faster given that you're not CPU limited.

I have a new Dell 540 Studio that came with a 3450 and 300 or 350Watt power supply, I called TD and priced a 3870 for 99.99 and a 600watt power supply at 59.99 should I go with this card over the 3870 and the same power supply and will it all fit inside ok? Any help would be appreciated... BTW so far the only game I play is COD4 and I really think the stock 3450 is not enough. Thanks

yes, you should get this instead..it is much better card..

3870 for $99 is ridiculous these days...you are paying a premium for old tech.

also, dont waste $60 on a 600w power supply.

your 350W will probably do fine for this card if it came in the Dell and has the PCI-E video power plug

if you do need a power supply. Get something like this one

no need for 600W in that system with a low power video card

Will this card play WOW on all high settings at 1080p? I am building a new comp and Wow is honestly the only computer game I play, so I want a system that can play that on all high settings at 1080p, but dont want anything with too much excess from that (want to keep cost down). Basically I want cheapest parts available to max out that one game.
