Credit to Castaa at SD:

Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro 64 for AMD Socket 754,939,940 heatsink with 92mm fan for $17.95 + shipping + tax (if applicable): Store Link

Checked out the store's rating and it seems good, though it's been some time since someone rates them: Reseller Ratings link

Searched and didn't come up with anything, so I believe it's not a repost.

I currently have a stock AMD cooler with heat pipes. I have lowered the RPM by a fan controller. I will let you know how the Freezer compares after I get it.

Appreciate it... when other folks use my computer they remark how quiet it is but it still seems loud to me... <sigh>

i have both too (stock amd with heatpipes and freezer 64)

the stock amd is louder at higher rpms

i run the freezer 64 at 100 percent fan and its silent over my psu fan

the performance is near identical as well for me...so i would assume this is better than stock amd heatsink but on par with stock amd heatsink with heatpipes

as for the seller, they are a local B&M for me as well and have been around for as long as i can remember, so they are definitely trustworthy

HOT DEAL!

Man...I just bought this from Central Computer on Monday for $29.99.

EDIT: Just called them, and there is no price protection.

From the description:

"Thermal Interface Material: Pre-applied MX-1 Paste"

Does this mean that you don't need any extra thermal grease? Also, would this be compatible with the Sempron 3100+ 754 pin?

Last time they had the non-pro version for the same price, they were out of stock within a couple of days. This is a great deal, too bad I don't need one. Shipping rates are high for one, but better if you buy more.

No, they are mounted the same as the AMD stock cooler.

dammed

If only these would turn 180 degrees, I'd be set

on my board ( asrock ), it blows either towards the back or the memory in the front

and my power supply ( super flower ) already has 4 fans taking out the heat

I wonder if I could put it in there and add some ductwork to the rear ???

Have to think about this.

I also have an Asrock 939 Dual SATA and I believe that you can rotate it and make it face any direction you want. That is why I ordered it!

Read the last paragraph on this page of the review.

Does anybody know if this will work with a Sempron 3100+ ? Some sites say yes, some say no.

As long as the Sempron is not socket 462. This works with 754 and 939 Semprons.
