Wonder if I should replace my old WUSB54G that someone makes my mouse skip when I'm downloading large files.

Does penny-size = crummy reception?

i got a similar one, airlink101 golden 150, also from meritline.com. amazingly, reception is great! however, i couldnt get it to work in windows 7 64 bit. im thinking it's windows's wifi connection manager??? is there a better program for managing wifi?

Hmm... that's a bit disconcerting, since I run Win7 64-bit on all my machine. Guess I'll find out here in a day or two.

Guess I won't buy one then. My old one didn't work originally in W7x64. Had to connect with a wireless bridge and use Windows Update to get a working driver.

I'm assuming you're all using the win7 x64 driver from the airlink101 website?

Got mine today. Unboxed, plugged in, Win7 64-bit installed the driver for it in about 30 seconds, connected to my router about 30 seconds later. Posting from it right now... working fine.

Just to give others a heads up, there's even newer drivers available from the realtek website (dated 03/31/2010) here. The chipset is RTL8192SU.

Realtek chipset? Nice. I might snag one later, even though the coupon code has expired.
