Not terribad, but only a 1gb card. Good for entry level basically, but you're crippling yourself for any serious gaming at this rate.

You shouldn't even consider doing any "serious" gaming on a 7850, whether it's 1 GB or 2GB.

However, it should still be able to handle anything you throw at it at fairly high settings.

That's complete BS. How do you define "serious" gaming? 1440p with eyefinity?

I am on 1080p and there is no game this thing cant handle on all max settings. Sure, this can be considered as an entry level card, but its a great value at $90 and it should easily "last" anyone for at least a year, especially if they are willing to bring down a setting or two.

In X-Fire, two of these babies will decimate all, except for maybe the R280X and above.

By the way, does anyone know if these come with a crossfire bridge or I have to buy one?

Also, hows Crossfire these days? Is it worth it?

1gb makes this way less hot. I use a 7850 2gb at 1080p and it's great and I'm constantly using over 1gb. I'd pay a little more for the extra gb of ram imo.

This is a great gaming card. At 1080p it will run most games on High settings with a decent framerate. Battlefield 3, Dead Space 3, Modern Warfare games are perfectly playable.

If you own an Nvidia 550 or AMD 4870 this is a good, low priced upgrade for your desktop.

We have to advise other people properly in this forum. I have a 7950 in my rig but my brother has a 7850 in his and can run every game nicely. Of course a $90 video card will run slower than a $280 one. Entry level......try the 67XX series since you have to play on low or medium res on those.

I have a 4870 and a 7870... The difference between the two cards is night and day... 7850 is not that much slower than the 7870... Not only is the picture much nicer (because of DX 11 and other major feature upgrades) but the performance difference is pretty drastic as well.

Most people define it as something ridiculous like minimum 1080p, Max fidelity, 16 tap AF, 16x FSAA @ >60FPS on something like BF4. This card won't do that in any way, shape or form.

Now if you're like me, can settle with between 30-60FPS average framerates on adaptive to moderately high settings that are somewhat tweaked per title and don't tend to play the latest and greatest out there, then yes, this is a pretty decent deal.

There is a reason why those $400-500 graphics card exist... It is for enthusiasts who like to play at super high resolution on multiple monitors and completely go balls to the wall with the in game video settings.

This is a sub $100 card... Be realistic with your expectations for a card within this price range and you will be surprised by its performance for the $$ you paid.

This is hands down the best and most powerful GPU you can get for under $100.

The real problem with this card is not the ram but the heatsink from a 90's cpu. Even xfx's "good" coolers leave much to be desired.

That is very true. Which is most likely why this card is running at lower clock speeds.

Most people spending $90 on a card aren't planning on "serious" gaming. ;)

I have a 5770... I'm gonna wait for another 7850 2gb to go on sale. Still kicking myself for missing the previous sales.

Just wait for the new cards to take over and for the supply/demand to even out. I highly doubt there will be another sale of the 78xx cards.

I have this card and love it. The only game I have an issue with is Crysis 3. It runs smooth and then all of the sudden it locks up after a 15 mins of playtime. I think it is a memory issue. I have the 1gb. Even if I reduce the settings to low it still locks. It plays everything else on max settings. Have not tried BF3 though. Bioshock and Tomb Raider runs perfectly and I have an old AMD 975 CPU. I may wait another and see how cheap these get and then buy a second for crossfire.

For sub 100 this is a great deal considering you are getting better than Xbone and PS4 graphics.

Your card is either overheating or it is defective. Monitor your temps and make sure the fan speed is set to auto or try to manually set it to the highest % that you can tolerate and see if you experience the same issue. If you are still crashing and your temps are fine, then I would try to RMA the card to XFX.

Probably either overheating, or you are running out of system RAM (not video ram, but maybe)

bump. This deal is back again today as a shell shocker.

Back up to $99 after MIR again. Not as great as the $90 deal, but still pretty hot imo.

Edit: You can actually still get it for $90 if you use the 10% off masterpass promo. HOT deal!

Well, I decided to RMA my two 7790s and get one of these 7850s for mining... Would have gotten two if the rebate limit wasn't 1 per household.

$116-$30 rebate=$86 with no tax and free shipping :awe:

Hoping to get at least 300kH/s with this card :whiste:
