Its possible them listing it online was a glitch again, I wouldnt count on receiving it unless they have given you a shipping confirmation already with all the confusion and cancellations going on.

Mine has already shipped, I'm getting it tomorrow.

Btw in reference to your comment about Prescott and Doom III, the reviews I seen (xbit labs) showed 1-2fps difference at most throughout the game with northwood vs prescott and neither one specifically beat the other as each was ahead in different areas any by only a couple fps of each other.

Glad to hear you got shipping confirmation, I'm still trying to communicate with them in fixing my order but their email customer service is very slow. Took 5 days just to receive that answer whether it was northwood or prescott hehe.

I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't even know what is was. I wouldn't be surprised if I receive a prescott tomorrow 🙂

Yeah its hard to tell what they are doing at the moment. The odd thing is if it really is the northwood, they are showing both it instock as well as the msi motherboard so theres no reason they shouldnt be able to fulfill the orders. This was the email they sent my btw for the questions I emailed about 5 days ago:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Outpost.com.

The "combo" has now been canceled, but did include
the P4 processor with 512K cache. (Individual product numbers are
#3630835 - processor, #4008442 - motherboard)>

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Sincerely,
Margareta

i ordered this once from the website and it was cancelled so i called and when i called the lady said that it was instock now and i could reorder. She transfered me to sales and i ordered it. Tracking says it should be here today. In the comfirmation it had the item number of the processor and the motherboard separted, so i pulled them both up according to the item #. Here they are

It's the northwood. Got mine today and am now done building the comp (typing from it). It's VERY nice. Either I want to believe there is a difference between a Barton 2500+ and this Proc or there actually is in UT2004. It played so increadibly smooth.

My AMD system played it with high framerates, but it just wasn't as "smooth". Or maybe it's just all in my head.

Anyway, It's though to give up soundstorm, I took advantage of the real time Dolby Digital. I guess I can settle for stereo sound with the coax out of this thing, or if I REALLY need 5.1 I could go analog.

One thing, I get skipping in sound in games? Anyone have experiance with this? I have upgraded to the latest sound drivers listed on MSI's site. Tryed Doom3 and UT2004.
