Developing platforms for Linux (in general) may just save them.

How do we know its free?
This may be a stupid q for some, but they say evaluation, does that mean that the software will expire after a while? My main interest is in the Suse 9.1 Pro dvd. Has anyone recieved theirs and used it? Plus, is there a catch or is it really free?
Thanks.

In the header appears that the package is evaluation. In the description it seems to say that the versions are 'Pro' etc. which makes me beleive they are full non-expiring versions. In fact, I've not heard of Linux Distro's for evaluation and that expire but I guess there's a first time for everything. Novell is probably pretty anxious to show that they're on the right foot w/ their acquistion of SUSE.

I'm really anxious to check this out. I've been fighting Mandrake 10.0 for AMD 64 and trying to get it to swallow on SATA RAID. I'm very curious to see if SUSE's AMD 64 support handles it any better.

THANKS OP, and the OP of this thread ;D

I got in on this deal a couple of weeks ago and received the set last Saturday, so I can confirm that is, indeed, free. It was a snap to set up my system to dual-boot XP and Suse 9.1, but since I'm a total Linux noob, I have yet to figure out how to get Linux to recognize my wireless USB adapter.
