*DEAD* 512MB Lexar 12x Compact Flash (CF) - $19 @ Officemax

This week, Officemax has an instore ad on a Lexar 256MB 12x CF card for $19 even, but the item number listed in fine print is for both a 256MB (20188761) and *512* MB (20602117) version of the same card. I went in to the store and double checked, and sure enough, the 512MB Lexar 12x CF card was $19. Just make sure you grab the 12x, not the 4x Lexar CF card. This is an instore only price.

No 12xs at all at the first store I tried. Can anyone confirm this is not YMMV? I didn't see any ads with it in, or any shelf space where the 12x cards would have been. I will probably try another store in a few hours.

No lexar 12x's in Sarasota, FL.... only 4x at over twice the price...

Goto an OM store and pickup one of their instore ads that's on ordinary paper (not the newspaper weekly ad). There's 2 item number listed in the 256MB 12X Lexar CF card. One is for the 12x 256MBCF, the other is for 12x 512MB CF. Both are $19 out the door.

This is definitely YMMV. It is not prt of the in-store ad in the Boston area and they are $69.99 on the shelf. Where are folks having luck with this?

650590107100 $69.00
512MB Compact Flash
Promo Discount 803000130 ($50.00)
Dollar amount off $50.00

Picked up a 512MB CF at Manchester, CT OfficeMax.
I saw their in-store ad printed on regular paper, but it did not mention the CF cards at all.
Finally a store employee asked if I needed help and I showed him the OM model #'s thanks to KamakaziRcr!!
He had to go in the back room to grab me one. He knew both the 256 and 512 were $19.
Snagged myself a 512....thanks for the hot deal!

Did you ask them to price check it on their POS system? It's still marked as $69 on the shelf, but it rings up as $19.

I did not since it was not in their in-store ad. Maybe I'll check back in on my way home tonight

Does anyone happen to have a scan of the ad?

2nd OM I went to said they clearanced the 12xs months ago, but that the 4xs were still in stock. They thought that was as odd as I did.

i was able to get three of these at the cutler ridge officemax in miami. they said they had twelve total in the computer inventory so there is possibly nine left. just asked for that part number (it's on the xeroxed in-store ad on a table near the checkout) but they should be able to look it up by the 20602117 number. the other officemax i tried in town said they were out of stock and listed as discontinued.

Thanks for the post. I just returned with 2 of the 512MB. None were on the shelves so I asked and 2 were in stock and they found them behind the counter.

They had 2 here at my store in Vegas. There was an instore flyer, but it had no mention of these flash cards being on sale. The tag on the floor said $69.00, and again, there was no indication of these things being on sale. I decided to wait in line, and get a price check. Sure enough, the rang up at $19.00. Even the clerk was suprised. The reciept Say's $69.00 with a $50.00 Promo Discount. I walked out the door with a Gig of CF for $40.86 total. Thanks KamakaziRcr!

Checked out the OM in Rochester, MN. It rang up as $69. However, this was the 4x speed and they didn't have any 12x speed in stock.

But it wasn't a wasted trip, because they had some WD 80GB external drives on clearance for only $29 and I grabbed the last box. Turns out it was a price mistake but they honored it anyway. The guy ahead of me at checkout bought 2 of them for the same price. I looked on newegg and the same drive is selling for $145 plus ship! That was an expensive price mistake!

Tried another store last night. Gave them the number, the guy looked it up and confirmed they had them in stock and they were $19. He then went over to the manager to get them from out back, some other employee overheard them and got all excited when he heard the price and walked out back with them.

A few minutes later the guy came back and I was told they were out of stock! It was late and I didn't feel like arguing so I just left, but what BS!

Thanks to the OP. Just went to my local OM in Sanford, FL and snagged the last one. The clerk did a quick check and said that they thought one more was in stock at the the Fern Park Plaza store (17-92 & 436) so if others are interesed, may want to check there.
