anyone having problem installing the PCMCIA wireless network card? I put my PCMCIA wireless card in my laptop, and when it comes up with the found new hardware wizard, I put in the CD, and it says it can't find the right driver on the CD. Even if I force it to choose the driver that the book specifies, it says it's not the correct driver for the hardware..... Therefore, I can't install it, and it will not work. Do you have any suggestions?

Tung, you probably tried this already, but check the Belkin website. If you have access to a computer with Win XP installed (and a pcmcia slot), try installing it in there to see A) if it self-installs and B) what device it shows that it found. XP has most drivers built-in.

You may just have a defective card. The "official" hardware help books will tell you to look at your IRQ's, or something like that, but I have never, ever found that to be helpful.

This is just a suggestion since I don't know how old your laptop is, but this may be a 32 bit card (cardbus) and your laptop may be 16 bit PCMCIA if it's an oldie.

I ordered two of these, and they each came with a different installation CD. I had the same problem as you with the first CD I tried, but when I tried the second CD, it all worked fine. Also, I could never get the drivers on the website to work. Maybe you should give their tech support a call? BTW, I was using WinXP.
