WTH?

The one I purchased, the cord appears to have a silver shielding foil, inside a clear plastic covering sleeve.

What part of the cord assembly contains lead? And where was this sticker, and what did it say exactly?

I would really like some confimation of this, if it's not a hoax. If this is real, then perhaps that's why they were marked down so much. Or maybe not. There's a lot of "bad" chemicals used in CD-Rs too, you know.

Are you serious? I am using mine right now - the cord has a clear plastic covering over it...

From the looks of it, that label is only there because of Calfornia's Proposition 65 which basically says anything that contains any of some 600+ hazardous substances must be labeled.

I figure the label is along the lines of a 'duh', "This thermometer contains mercury! Don't break it and drink the liquid!", cover-your-a** kind of warning. I mean, this keyboard probably isn't any more dangerous than any other keyboard that you can buy. And even though my unit didn't have the label, I wasn't exactly planning to paw, rub, cradle, taste, etc. the cord. ;)

I got the same one but no warning sticker on the cord.
