the rep terminated the line on me again.

how do you speak to a supervisor if the rep doesn't let you speak to one?

i've tried almost every trick in the book, but the rep wouldn't budge. he offered me a $100 coupon. if the supervisor doesn't bite, can i escalate it to the manager?

ohhh... this is great the supervisor doesn't want to talk to me, and i've been told to speak to the "fraud" department.

check this.... this isn't the fraud department.... it's the credit card processing centre.

i guess dell wouldn't need a particular "fraud" department, when they're all a bit fraud. 😉

this is pretty perplexing though.

i think only ronin is walking away with this deal.

with no coupons and no rebates, this deal is the best. although it is refurbished...thanks op! got a couple of them last night
 
i did order with my CC. i guess i can cancel and stuff, but i wanna get the 2405fpw 😀

now, the credit card rep is transferring me BACK to the refub group, which sent me to the credit card processing dept in the first place.

anyone else have any luck with these guys?
 
you got a couple... meaning you've received them, or you placed an order and will not have to deal with the BS that the rest of us are dealing with?

The shipping dates/times are on the labels on the boxes, too, for validation.
 
why is dell saying that they don't have any refurbed 2405's in stock when the outlet page shows about 20-some units right now?

wow here's a new one. the dell rep i'm speaking to now actually said, "you're right, you did place the order for the 2405fpw, let's see what happened here"

let's hope this works out.

no go on any accounts. whoever got a hold of that indian csr who told them the unit would be replaced is mighty lucky.

these guys refused to do anything.
 
Yah, I was kinda surprised when he created a case # and told me to call them back when the 20" monitor came in 🙂 I was given the runaround with 2 other phone CSR's and 2 email CSR's yesterday.

some guy had luck on the slickdeals.net forums when he used key terms like ASG, order broker, mcrcf005, etc (see the top post on page 9 http://forums.slickdeals.net/t103782.html?&page=9&pp=15 )

oh, theres links to the banner ads showing this deal on page 11 of the above forum post
 
So, the good news is I've pulled one out of the box to check for dead pixels, and there isn't a single one to be found!

1 down, 1 to go, and 2 to arrive still heh.
 
i drafted a letter and faxed it to michael dell's office.

i also called themedia relations department. said i was a member of the press, which isn't a lie actually, and had someone call me back and escalate the issue to some special group or soemthing.
 
chucky, you don't have the name of the rep you spoke to do you? if i got a hold of someone in india, i could have worked some hindi into the mix, they might have opened up. unfortunately, i got the location in the philiphines, and i dont speak tagalog (sp?).
