My local compusa had a crapload of em in stock...

Rebate says one per receipt, household, address, or family (and some other things)

I picked up 2, im only down for the break and i'll send the other rebate to my school addy.

NEone got coupons for free shipping from CUsa...is this rebate through compUsa? I've read on here that their rebates are worthless...NEone got Nfo on that?

NICE post for those who can drop by and pick 'em up!

Sounds like a good deal. I'll have to pick some up tonight.

(Just get an uncomfortable feeling with two gators in the room. );)

RockeThrower - I'll even it out for you. Go 'Noles!

Must resist buying cd-r's that are not free after rebate. Must resist buying cd-r's that are not free after rebate. Ad infinitum nauseum.

In five years of internet buying and thousands of dollars of rebates, compusa is THE ONLY dotcom to stiff me on a rebate and it was $20 for cd-r disks.

Do what you want, but I haven't bought anything from compusa in over a year.

Thought you might be interested.

i've bought about a thousand imation cd-r's from compusa now and all the rebates on these were directly mailed to imation corp. (fast and promt + no BS)

in my experience, every rebate that goes thru compusa takes 4months+.

My opinion on those slimcases (not like anyone cares): they're good cuz u can fit 'em in twice the space and they're a bit more sturdy...however they're not very good for organizing, as the label part is pretty small, considering it's half-size. They don't work very well in my CD tower, I just use them to put backup and computer CDs in and stack them someplace.

<< I've read on here that their rebates are worthless...NEone got Nfo on that? >>

I only have two experiences with CU$A rebates. After the first one did not arrive, they offered me a GC in the amount owed after I wrote to the store manager.

The second one has been promised to me by the vendor (Cendyne) in ten days. I'll be watching the calendar.

So not worthless - just must be prepared to make phone calls, write letters, fax and refax information that was initially mailed in, and when push finally comes to shove be willing to explain that you are through dealing with them and will turn over copies of all the documentation that you have meticulously (??) kept to the State AG office and FTC. Rumor has it they are less pleasant to deal with than the average consumer.
