DEAD: 10.00 Bonus Amazon Gift Certificate when you convert 30.00 in coins to Coinstar for an Amazon GC

Aw man; I just finished depositing $23 of coins into a Coinstar for an Amazon certificate. I wish I had seen this thread earlier.

Edit: I deposited on Nov. 1 or 2, so I would've made the cutoff.

So I hauled my box of coins to the coinstar machine and choose the gift certificate option. So I'm clank clanking $75 in coins into the machine and when all the coins are in and i finalize the transaction, it says sorry we cannot process gift certificates at this time. DOH!!!

The only option left was to cash out, and take the counting fee hit. ZOMG I was so disappointed. Not only did I lose out on the 10 dollar bonus GC, I ended up losing 8 dollars in fees. Booo!

Sometimes the coinstar machines aren't hooked up to the network. Double check before you give them monies!

and email coinstar directly if you miss out on giftcard option - They happily applied the charge I received by way of a giftcard to amazon (they emailed me a code)- so I got my 8-9$ back

I'm not a fan of coins less than a quarter. I went to the bank and asked for rolls of quarters to do this hot deal.

Did anybody receive their amazon gift card by email yet? I sent my rebate out awhile ago and I am still waiting.

I sent mine on 10-19. It takes 6-8 weeks to receive according to their terms. Even if one sent it in on the day it started (10-1), it hasn't hit the 6-8 week mark yet.

I just figured since it's going to be sent through email they won't actually do the 6-8 weeks. I know with the HP memory rebate I received mine within 3-4 weeks. Oh well guess I'll just have to be more patient
