I wanted to contact the mod for this before hand, but that may seem a bit rude.
I have a bunch of posts quoted by users with my username in said posts, and also I'm unable to edit posts in locked threads.
If I deactivate my account, would my username still be visible, or would the same 'substitute ID/username' be visible on other threads?

I have a list of such posts I would like deleted, but would only prefer to PM it to a mod, rather than post it here. This is alot less worrisome on reddit in comparison.
Kinda sad my/our pre-2014 posts are no longer visible.

Can you elaborate on what you feel the risk is in having a fairly non-identifiable username associated with posts from a long time ago?

If you're looking to purge posts and pre-2014 are no longer visible, how is that even a bad thing for your agenda?

Have you been up to something that makes you a target on the internet and always used the k3n username? If so it seems a bit like karma but what do I know, angry trolls can target anyone if the wind blows the wrong direction.

Just sayin' that it seems a bit deeper than only being able to anonymize yourself on this forum. What's up? Depending on how the forum software is set up, individually editing or deleting so many posts not only takes a lot of time but also, potentially corrupts the logic flow in the topic.

I feel for your agitation and wonder if this is just a sign of a bigger problem that needs some professional help. A lot of people have worries that could be alleviated by someone else taking an independent look at them.
