This is great. The DEA is becoming desperate that their worthless jobs are about to be eliminated, or at least scaled back as MJ becomes more legalized across the country.

Now they are using overdose of dogs as a justification to keep MJ illegal. In the argument presented 2 dogs apparently died from ingesting butter with weed in it. So we must keep drugs illegal for our pets sake. This guy took the time to compile a list of the pets killed by law enforcement enforcing drug laws.

As a tax payer I'm sick and tired of wasting money trying to tell people what they can and cannot do with their own bodies. Worse still, the growing police force must scrape the bottom of the barrel to find mouth breathers to give guns and badges to which leads to more cops abusing their authority and the inevitable lawsuits that arise from them which also costs taxpayer money.

Just legalize drugs, layoff half the police force in the country, and leave people the hell alone.

Wow, as many dogs and pets as the DEA and Local Law enforcement has killed raiding homes for small amounts of pot, this just makes no sense...lol

Why did I click on their videos? Ugh.. that one video of the officers caught on camera agreeing to shoot the peoples pets ahead of time is chilling.

Shouldn't the ASPCA have DEA agents and LEO's on their Most Wanted List?

2 dogs died of overdose?

Ok, now subtract the number of dogs shot during drug raids.

If you are stupid enough to leave your medications or drugs out where your pets can get into them and die from an overdose, then you shouldn't have a pet in the first place. That is not a valid reason to push to keep marijuana illegal however.

The same can be said of Chocolate. It is unfortunate people aren't protecting their pets. But a lot of that may also be education. And it certainly is a lame excuse for keeping drug prohibition. Clearly the DEA and other law agencies have been more savage to our pets than this drug.

Outlaw chocolate! SWAT team raids to confiscate chocolate! Think of the puppies!

Where are you getting the 1-2 overdoses a day number from?

Mesa Veterinary Clinic in Pueblo estimated that, so far this year, marijuana-related cases are up about 30 percent from past years. Animal Emergency Care Centers in Colorado Springs said it is seeing an increase in pot-related incidents, with 10 to 20 a month.

Community Pet treats four to six animals a month for marijuana toxicity, up from one case every couple of months, she said.
