DEA bans K2, other 'fake pot' products

reminds me of Salvia divinorum being banned a couple years back. Only thing is salvia actually made you trip for minutes on end (with the high strengths)

this k2 shit is almost worthless, you get a high like smoking a cig for the first time, and it tastes like your chewing on a stick of Nag Champa - also masks this smell/taste in everything you smoke out of and anywhere you smoke.

I actually have a co-worker that stopped smoking pot and ordered all these crazy plants and roots online to create his own version of "K2". Well he started getting worried after seeing all the local shops stop carrying it, and the shop owners being arrested - needless to say he is rethinking his brilliant plan.

K2 is weak, you need to try Mr nice guy or Wicked blendX3.Your could not accomplish this with growing "roots", these blends have been sprayed with a synthetic cannabiod, the formula was synthesized in the mid '90's at a university studying the effects or marijuana and got leaked out, I think most of it is made offshore, China probably..

Is this really as big an issue as people are suggesting, i'd never even heard of it until this post, they made "legal highs" illegal ages ago over here.

i think all the bad hurricans and natural disaters weve been having lately is because god is mad that a few stupid humans make millions of others suffer by taking away the only plant god intended for people to smoke every single day.

God damn that shit is retarded. Why the fuck does the DEA even have emergency powers like that in the first place?

These legal highs exist because most people have finally seen that being high is not a terrible crime in of itself, but draconian laws of yesteryear have stayed firmly rooted thanks to the religious zealots.

And btw, those things like K2 were popular because many many people like weed, but are subject to random drug tests - fake THC doesn't show up in most of the multi-panel drug tests.

If weed were legal, I'd likely treat it just like I treat alcohol. Use it fairly often, but most usage a minimal amount. A drink or two, a puff or three... it's all the same. Alcohol is actually worse for you, and that's the one we have vendors sell almost everywhere imaginable.

That's because England is a nanny state.

Don't worry, we aren't far behind. 🙁

That makes sense, I guess it just will never effect me so, I'm just happy to know that my friends wont be high next time I call them...

You're right.. anything that you and your friends don't enjoy or annoys you should be made illegal. That sounds like a great idea

Are most people in the UK as brainwashed to push the nanny state ideals BS as you are?

edit:

No, I do not smoke

I've noticed a lot of people seem to smoke cannabis in america, is that the case or is it just me?

Weed is a cheap drug and relatively harmless. I know a lot of people who do it. This is mostly a poorer area.

Move onto the more affluent areas and people do coke and ecstasy.

Anyways you're complaining about weed when England uses more ecstasy than anyone else?

hmm most in affluent areas still do marijuana over coke...X is more a kiddie drug for the most part, adults that use it tend to do so on 'special occasions' it's more popular outside the US though.

Good weed is not really too cheap though. Cheaper than coke for sure.

Most adults are more likely to use weed and amphetamines.

Caffeine alters my nervous system, yet you would not advocate banning it.

Where do you draw the line between legal and illegal drugs? Whatever you answer, it'll be your opinion, and it is for that reason that I find the selective banning of "drugs" complete bullshit.

<----Have Never used any illegal drugs/controlled substances, nor anything like K2.

just FYI I'd be fine in banning caffeine if people thought it necessary...

That wasn't a complaint it was an observation.
