DDS Server Error???

ANYONE PLEASE...AHHHH

When I go to take a look at my desktop properties under win 98(right click on desktop and down to properties) My comp does nothing...

Then it gives me a DDS Server Error when I go to shut my baby down. WHATS UP WITH THAT???

Its a big pain in the ass...I would really appreciate some help. Thanks
