Msi goofy. Read the manual and make sure you have the dimms in the correct slots. They have a chart.

Sorry just saw you have them in the right slots.

Yes,

You have double sided dimms.

The dimm numbers are on the mobo. So your dimms must be in Dimm 1 and Dimm 2 OR Dimm 3 and Dimm 4

That may not be the problem but at least we get rid of the configuration as a potential problem.

that's normal.

MSI sucks in the first place.

secondly, the timings are automatic. that southbridge is trying to offer stability, thus downclocking it to DDR333.
my southbridge sucks, but I'm fine with DDR333 vs DDR400.

you have to do a little math to get a DDR400 with DDR400 sticks on a crappy southbridge/bios. try updating/flashing the BIOS.

oh yeah, one more thing, I switched my DDR400's around a bit, and got DDR333 instead of DDR200 which I though doubled itself to be DDR400, which was stupid I though after I saw DDR333. But it doesn't even matter 'cuz I have a Prescot CPU, which doesn't even matter on a CP CHIPS mobo. ECS sucks by the way, thank you.

just put each stick into a green and purple that are right next to eachother. it should work. otherwise, manually change it to ddr400 in the bios.

There is no "southbridge" on any nForce 3 or nForce 4 platform... ;)
