I am trying to create a list of single rank ddr4 memory sticks that could be used for ryzen.
If i am wrong about something, please correct me.
I am just gathering from the internet from sales sites, so there could be an error.
It is good practice to double check with the manufacturer before purchasing. :)
I sometimes mention that the module is for 1.2V and other modules usually need 1.35V to reach the specified memory speeds.

All shown are two dimms kits.

Single rank modules :

  • Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB DDR4 4000MHz
  • Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3733 2x8GB, single-rank Samsung B-die

  • Crucial Ballistix Elite DIMM Kit 8GB, DDR4-3200, CL16-18-18 (BLE2C4G4D32AEEA/BLE2K4G4D32AEEA)

I think it would be far better for people to look at the QVL list of supported memory that the board makers have tested with their specific boards.

Let them do all the busy work. :)

O, it is always good to check that list provided by motherboard manufacturers and cross reference.
But personally, all the memory sticks i bought and was available for a given price, where never on any of the lists provided by motherboard manufacturers.
Up till now, i never had any issues. But then again, i do not overclock the memory or use with extremely tight timing settings. Memtest86 FTW.

Thx for the list , I was looking at a B350 gaming 3 form gigabyte and their QVL is all over the place , with tons of 4gb modules tested , some brands that are more difficult to find in europe. And if you compare the list to almost identical motherboards the none gaming version or the mATX version it all feels like they had a big pile of memory and just grabbed some random heap and thats it. I

Sure AMD says single rank +samsung seams to work well but that is easy to say and not so easy to find in retail channels, for example corsair that depends on version which is not listed most of the time for example , ....

Is it possible to have a 32GB kit single rank? or are 16GB single rank dimms not possible yet.

They have kits for 32GB, but those are 8 GB X4 DIMMs.

If you mean a single DIMM being 32GB, nope, not yet. 16GB is the max right now per DIMM.

I mean is there a single rank 16GB dimm in existence now? Ryzen seems to hate the dual rank kits and all 32GB kits ive seen are dual rank 2x16gb or 4x8gb(which can be single rank)

Ah, the new Flare X series at 3200 speeds 14-14-14-14-34-1T. Should be single rank Samsung B-die. Perfect. I just bought a pair.

QVL on MSI indicates that F4-3200C14D-16GFX is Hynix memory

i have no idea if the memory i have is going to work... but I'm certainly not paying $200 for two damn sticks

Hello, i have ryzen 1600 and HX430C15PB3K2/8 kit on asus m350-plus motherboard.
No matter what i do i can't get past 2400mhz for that ram,so i think it's not compatible with ryzen proc;)
It recognizes xmp profile and after selecting it it just won't boot.
Thank you for you list i will try to get fury instead of this stupid predators ;)

Ah you have Hynix ICs. No wonder you are having problems. A few people have had success clocking Hynix RAM up above DDR4-2666 but not many. Expect some improvements in May or so.

Thank you for clarification, actually i can't run then on 2666 mhz neither, only 2400;) Will try my luck with fury, people say they are more compatible;)
