Question ddr4 bitline voltage ?

I was reading some tech docs on the low level operation of ddr and can't seem to confirm how exactly the bitline voltage is generated.
Page 13 shows the Sense amp voltage waveform and lists Vcc and Vref.
Vpp is the wordline/activation voltage and available in the bios for most boards (shown as Vcc+Vt in this doc).

My question: Is Vcc = vdimm(from bios), and is Vref generated internally or externally to the dram chips (vtt from bios?) ?

The problem is "Vref" can mean pretty much anything, it's a general term like Vss or Vdd.
