DDR333 mobo advantage over RDRAM mobo?

Will the upcoming dual channel-DDR based mobos support our present day DDR333 memory (allowing for a smooth migration that does not require purchasing memory all over again)? If so, would present day customers not be better advised to purchase DDR333-based mobos rather than RDRAM-based mobos if they want to save on the cost of buying new memory later?

I think RAMBUS will always be a better cjoice for the P4, by the time dual channel DDR 333 is out, there will be dual channel PC1200-1600 RDRAM
