DDR3 not working

I have an ASRock X38 TurboTwin Wifi board: http://www.asrock.com/MB/overview.asp?Model=X38TurboTwins-WiFi

I just bought some G.Skill DDR3 1066 8gb to upgrade my 4gb of Corsair DDR2 800: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...&SID=u00000687

My PC wouldn't show video or post when installed. I installed a new sound card at the same time, thought that was the problem. Tried two video cards, reseated everything multiple times, and nothing. I then decided to take them out and throw back in my DDR2, and it booted right up and showed video. What would cause this?

The only thing I could think of is that since it only supports up to 8gb, each slot only supports 2gb...but I cannot find this anywhere?

Well, I can only confirm that it definitely says nothing on the specs website or in pages 1-10 or 18-19 of the manual about max memory per slot. However, that is most likely the issue. Try just 1 stick in each of the DDR3 slots, or at least A1 and B1. Also, though it is highly unlikely, you aren't accidentally using memory that is buffered or ECC?

Nope, unbuffered and no ECC. I tried one stick, both, because I thought they might be bad, and nothing...damn, I'd hate to buy a new board.
