DDR3 frequency question

I am thinking about building a new system soon with DDR3 using a core 2 CPU which runs at a 1333 FSB. Now, does this mean I need to get DDR 1333 spec memory, or will the 1066 be just as fast? I will not be overclocking.

If you're not overclocking (and really, even if you are) there's almost no benefit to DDR3. Certainly not enough to justify the price tag.

Just go with DDR2-800 or even DDR2-667 (the speed which actually matches a 1333 FSB) for a non-overclocked system.
